Newlands was perfectly placed for us. Close to the Botanical Gardens and a local centre for eating out just a short stroll away. (There is a complementary minibus service from the Hotel to local restaurants). The Hotel had everything we needed including extensive gardens and a fine view of Table Mountain. The in-house restaurants (3 to choose) were all of... More

Great rooms, 7 acres of beautiful gardens/vineyard, world class restaurants, great service, convenient location to airport and downtown....for the money it doesn't get any better than this. The location alone is spectacular. Spa, pools, workout facilities are just icing on the cake. A tremendous value! Off season it wasn't crowded.

We were lucky to be upgraded to a garden suite! The suite was well appointed and had a lovely private patio with fountain where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful view. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff are, as ever, attentive and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble for them and everything is done with a smile.... More

I stayed in a courtyard view room. I liked having a window and sliding glass door to open for fresh air (though watch out for the cats, noisy frogs, and some type of exhaust system noise. Blackout curtains ensured darkness. Bed was softer than most I've had in South Africa, which means more comfortable to me. I slept wonderfully. Room... More

I recently stayed at the Vineyard and I must say I was pleasantly surprized with the excellent service. Each and every staff member that I had contact with was very helpful, friendly and made sure that I enjoyed my stay. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The only problem that I would like to point out is that the... More

A great base for a trip to Cape Town if you want to hang out where locals go - away from the tourist hotels of the Waterfront. Just a stroll away from Newlands Village and Cavendish Square , quietly efficient staff , pleasant breakfast and the odd tortoise add to a lovely experience. If you want a treat do book... More

My husband and I were treated to a spectacular view and setting with a mountain facing room. the rooms are spacious and elegantly furnished, and clean. Although some of the decor in the passages may appear to be tired - don't be mislead as the rooms are not. Rooms service excellent as were breakfasts. A memorable trip and I would... More

This hotel is a wonderful upmarket Conference venue. There are beautiful gardens, good service, gourmet food and comfortable accommodation. The conference rooms are large and spacious and the conference food is fresh and well presented. This is the best conference venue we have been to. The service was excellent, from the valets who parked the car to the friendly receptionists and waiters.... More

This is a grand place in a spectacular setting. Conveniently situated close to the bustling southern suburbs yet offering the sound of bird song in the manicured gardens. The area offers an infinite choice of local eateries and bars, shops and entertainment. What of the service? Excellent. Marvellous. So what piqued me? A hole in the bed linen, a chip... More

We have visited the Vineyard a number of times and it has become a firm favourite. The service is outstanding, staff are friendly and really go out of their way to make everything excellent. The food is great and the view is wonderful. Their afternoon tea is also really a treat.
