On the day reservation, having sorted nearly everything before we arrived with the help of Ariadne Kellerman I was so looking forward to our stay. The hotel location and grounds are amazing and I have always loved visiting and staying there. With some luck, a cancellation and the help of Tracey & Lesley was able to get my wife a... More

The Vineyard Hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood on the northern slopes of Table Mountain. It was our perfect base camp for our daily car trips around Cape Town. The staff is very friendly and well trained and thanks to their old school hospitality I would definitely come back next time I visit the city.

Thank you so much for your review and kind words. We have relocated some of our frogs from the Courtyard to another pond on our property where they will have less of a human audience. We look forward to welcoming you again, on your return to Cape Town. Kind regards Roy Davies More

This hotel is definitely one of the most pleasant hotels I have ever stayed at. Apart from all the friendliness and professional service received, the location is breathtaking too. Do yourself a favour and sit outside on the veranda surrounded by the beautiful garden and have some good South African wine! Especially on a hot late afternoon this is so... More

The vineyard hotel is an expensive, high-class hotel located in the outskirts of Cape Town, right behind the table mountain. The international airport is some 20 minutes away by taxi, complementary shuttles are provided to go to the waterfront. The hotel it features buildings in a colonial style combining old and new architecture, and a fantastic three hectare (seven acres)... More

Picked this hotel based on position and reviews, and not disappointed, a really relaxing stay wonderful staff, we were in Cape Town to go to the Blind Cricket World Cup which was being held near by so our sight seeing was minimal but the travel desk were very helpful with any queries we had. We had room with garden view... More

The hotel is good, the food and service excellent. But the experience was soured by a pamphlet left on my bed which included the musings of Lady-Anne Barnard, whose house the Vineyard has now become. In the letter she makes staggeringly racist comments. Historical context is important, sure, but placing the pamphlet on my bed was a form of endorsement,... More

First the scenerie, then the rooms, the food and the wine, everything is great in this hotel. I've stayed there in a business trip and the only problem was that I had only two days to stay there. This hotel is very near the mountains and you have a fabulous view of it. It seems that between the hotel and... More

We are so pleased you got to spend time taking in the natural beauty of our location. The trees bring the mountain closer, making one feel you are on the mountain. Please stay a little longer next time if you can to see some of the local attractions. Kind regards Roy Davies More

This has to be my favourite hotel in Cape Town. I was in a mountain view room this visit and it is spectacular to watch the mountain's mood change. Check in was seamless with my car whisked away to valet parking. Breakfast was a delight. I was really pleasant to see a number of the staff who I have seen... More

Thank you so much for sharing your recent experience. Being up early enough in summer to catch the changing colours effected by the rising sun on the slopes of the mountain is such a treat. We look forward to seeing you back in 2015. Warm regards Roy Davies More
