Another great stay at Fernwood Manor. Good to find the same team looking after me again. Every aspect of my stay was amazing - from Ian waiting for my arrival at 11.00 on a Sunday evening to suggestions of new restaurants to try. I love the evening turn down service. And if you don't want to eat out, the staff... More

Cape Town has many lovely hotels, of different shapes, sizes and locations, but if you are looking for a smaller place, in the southern suburbs but close to town, it would be hard to beat Fernwood. It is easily accessible from main roads, but leafy and extremely quiet. Kirstenbosch botanical gardens are close, as is the Liesbeek river, which has... More

No detail is neglected to make this a perfect place to stay. The building, grounds and swimming pool are immaculately maintained, with a great view directly on to Table Mountain. The rooms are large and furnished beautifully, with tiled and spotless bathrooms, while the service from Sally and her team is of the highest standard. Breakfast was the best I... More

This was our second visit to Fernwood Manor and again it was an excellent choice for us. The location was ideal for things such as the airport, Kirstenbosch Gardens, winelands and the V&A waterfront. Breakfasts were lovely and we were lucky enough to be able to sit outside every morning to enjoy them. The garden itself is very pretty to... More

We stayed at Fernwood Manor for 10 days from 6th January and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Sally and her team are exceptional - service, professionalism and the friendliness of all was amazing. The location was good for us as we were meeting up with friends who were staying in Rondebosch and the Manor is located in Newlands the next suburb and... More

We have stayed at Fernwood Manor four times and about to book our fifth! This beautiful Guesthouse really has it all. The gardens are perfect and restful, the bedrooms are spotlessly clean, well furnished, large and peaceful. The public rooms are tastefully furnished with everything you could wish for in the way of relaxation. Beautiful though it is in every... More

If you are looking for a spot where you can thoroughly take a time out, enjoy a beautiful garden, have wonderful breakfasts and linger by the pool - it is hard to find a match! Service is great, facilities top notch. It is well worth the price and the location is perfect, minutes away from wine estates and the Kirstenbosch... More

Could not ask for anything more. Nothing was bad about this stay, except the fact that I never wanted to leave the place it was so nice! So relaxing and enjoyable, definitely book here if you can, otherwise you are missing out on so much! Breakfast was delightful, but a little bit repetitive, especially if you aren't keen on eggs.

We recently spent 6 nights at this gorgeous B&B but still weren't ready to leave. It was a joy to be there amidst the friendly staff, the spacious rooms and the pretty garden from the second we arrived. Any need or desire anticipated and catered to with the minimum of fuss, breakfasts beyond belief and bedrooms I had a hard... More

I often think my return visits to Cape Town are because of this truly stunning 5 star Guesthouse in beautiful Fernwood. The level of service offered to every guest is simply unbelievable from restaurant recommendations and bookings, to arranging tours and excursions and providing detailed directions for those driving themselves around. And there is always the offer of a pot... More
