the hotel rooms were comfortable but the place looked tired, great for business if in East Rand area...10 mins from airport as well..the wifi was a waste of time and fine dining wasnt to be had... The casino was okay, good fun and with a exchange rate at an all time high, very cheap...next itme I may try the 5... More

We stayed at the Peermont Mondior overnight before a flight to Kruger. The hotel is located close to the airport and there is a free shuttle bus. It is part of the Emperor's Palace casino and entertainment complex. Service was good, but all the rooms on the floor we stayed on had interconnecting doors, which were noisy. As we were... More

The Peermont Mondior is something between a regular hotel and budget accommodation. Since it is located near the airport and considering the small size of the room and the limited facilities it definitely looks a budget accommodation than a proper hotel. Yet, being located in one of the big casinos in Johannesburg it offers much more than is available in... More

I had booked two nights after traveling 4 weeks Madagascar and Tanzania and before embarking on my Kruger Safari. The Mondior was one of the few more expensive hotels on my trip, and I chose it due to its close location to the airport and adjacent entertainment center with lots of food outlets. I also wanted to treat myself with... More

I was surprised when we entered the room to find a bottle of sparkling wine in ice with glasses and munches ie nuts crisps ext, for my 65th birthday which was 17 oct the day before, which I spent in the kruger park, this was a much better... This hotel is adjacent to a large soulless casino complex, decorated in faux Italianate style. Large murals of roman ruins and a life sized model of Michaelangelo's David grace the restaurant strip of mainly American-style eateries. As I write there is an eery foam model of Santa and his reindeer being installed in the gardens. With every cultural reference pointing... More

We stayed here three years ago and decided to stay here again. The positives are the location which connects to the casino and a large number of restaurants. There is a free shuttle every 20 minutes to/from the airport terminals. The breakfast buffet is extensive and quite tasty. The only negatives may be that the rooms are very small and... More

We stayed at the Mondior on 2 occasions, one in August and another in September because of its proximity to the OR Tambo airport prior to and after safari holiday. It had been recommended to us and we thoroughly enjoyed our nights there. The shuttle bus runs frequently to and from the airport and we found this really helpful. Our... More
