Amazing beautiful hotel-very elegant! Built on terraced location-Beautful pool and view of Johannesburg on top level. The Polo lounge at the hotel had the "Out of Africa" atmosphere. The rooms were decorated with taste-a remote controlled pop up TV at the end of the bed was a special feature. more

Spent 2 days at the Westcliff after a long trip to Madagascar. I was delighted to find this elegant top notch hotel. I had read some comments that this hotel was not up to snuff, but I found quite the contrary. I found friendly warm staff always willing to please, great food and a spacious well decorated room. The room... more

I was in Mozembeique on a hunting trip and developed an eye problem and had to be med evac'd to Johannesburg for emergency eye surgery. Following this I needed to spend two weeks recovering before I could travel back to the U.S. ALL of the staff were very helpful, kind and considerate. If I had to be stuck some place... more

The Westcliff experience was sadly the last and worst stop in an otherwise breath taking tour of South Africa. Having stayed in the Radisson Blu in Cape town, the St. James in Knysna and the Tanda Tula camp whilst on safari in Timbavati, we had been primed to expect friendly, flexible staff and hotels that whilst of the highest order,... more

Thank you for taking the time to share your constructive feedback. I was most distressed to learn of your recent experiences whilst staying with us during the period we were hosting a number of British Lions Tour Groups. Please accept my sincere apologies for the delay in replying to your feedback and for the inconveniences and frustrations caused to you...

We stayed here for one night on our honeymoon in May during a layover in Johannesburg before we flew to mauritius. The hotel was fantastic - we were treated like royalty (despite it being inauguration day for the new prime minister and there being lots of other dignitaries staying there) as we were on honeymoon we got a bottle of... more

I have now stayed that the Wescliff on a good number of occassions. Sometimes collegues of mine would join. I generally require a lot of assistance with booking, and travel, etc. The staff have always been polite and gone out of their way to make my stay a pleasure. The friendliness of the staff, and the general welcome back on... more

What a wonderful location, high on the ridge overlooking the magnificent northern suburbs with all the jacaranda trees and the Magaliesberg in the distance. Close enough to Sandton and Rosebank but without any of the glitz and crowds. The service is excellent and staff superb. Definitely the only place to stay in Johannesburg. Favoured by the international filmset. more
