Amazing sunset view of Johannesburg. Overlooks the huge urban forests of over 10 million trees and the Zoo. Heard from the guys at the hotel that we could hear the lions roar sometimes! Great wine, awesome company.. could not have got anything better.

After our tremendous disappointment in December regarding a booking made for the View Restaurant we were fortunate enough to be guests of the General Manager at a pre opening of the restaurant, I say fortunate as it was a real treat from our arrival at the hotels gate until we departed well sated and really happy to have been exposed... I knew the Westcliff before it became a Four Seasons hotel, impeccable location but sometimes weaknesses in quality management and service. This has dramatically changed to the better. The location is still unbeatable but now management has changed it into a hotel to remember: very good service, excellent restaurant and fast check out, there is really nothing to criticize. I... This was not the first stay for me at the previous Westcliff Hotel, now the Four Seasons Westcliff. The hotel has been revamped since my stay two years ago. The room however still offered the same space and luxury with new modern features. The huge bathroom is a definite plus. My room in block 9 on the second floor allowed... More

My husband booked us in to the hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I have not been to the Westcliff since it was taken over by the Four Seasons. I was traumatised when I saw that the renovations had included painting over the iconic pink exterior! I feel that was a real error in judgement- especially having opted to retain... More

This hotel has recently emerged from a complete renovation and transfer of ownership/operator from Belmond (formerly Orient Express Hotels) to the Four Seasons. We have stayed in many hotels owned/operated by these brands around the world, and typically find them excellent, which largely justifies their large cost. Unfortunately the renovated Westcliff is way below Four Seasons standards without being below... More

The initial booking started a little problematically with three e-mails not being responded to but a rapid recovery and an excellent airport collection and my hopes were high. The hotel is on a hillside with separate buildings for different facilities. It has a Provence like feel. The reception is at the entrance to the hotel and once formalities are completed... More

i spent three nights at the Four Seasons in JHB this week. I'm a big Four Seasons fan and have stayed at many Four Seasons properties around the world. This hotel hasn't been opened for a long time. I can see the influence of the Four Seasons group but I have to say the service levels aren't what one expects... More

I stayed at the hotel in the first week of March. The rooms are very well designed and spacious, in particular the bathroom, while sockets are rare. The view from the Flames restaurant is spectacular, and the food is really good as well. The service is still far from were it should be for a hotel in this class. E.g,... More
