We spent four very comfortable days at the Hamilton. Loved the architecture and modern style. Great location. Staff very friendly and helpful. The food was also very good. The only thing we could fault was the lack of secure parking for vehicles

It's a nice and stylish little hotel, with nice design at a comfortable location. I only felt my room a little noisy, as guests may enjoy the evening in the terrace until late hours without realising that they disturb guests in rooms nearby. During the day we could clearly listen the lawn mower in operation for quite a while. Also... More

I have been staying at The Hamilton since 2011 when it opened and continue to return. It is the most beautifully and tastefully appointed boutique hotel with all the amenties one could require on a business trip. It is modern and stylish and yet shows the personal touches of bottled water at the bedside (still and sparklin), mints and fresh... More

I stayed here for two nights for a conference that was held in Sandton. I wanted to avoid the big chains and I am so glad I did- this hotel is a fantastic find! The place is really well decorated and very intimate. The rooms have the nicest finishes and the beds are so comfortable. You get twice the luxury... More

This place really has potential, but in room 5 I had my *worst* sleep of 2013. I will probably sleep better on the plane tonight. The hotel is located at a very busy intersection. So you hear road noise all night long. On top of that the window shades do not block out the bright light from the security lights... More

The Hamilton from the outside is quite deceptive. You have no idea what's waiting for you once you walk through the entrance. To start, we were greeted by Lee-Ann who is an absolute gem! Within the first 5 mins we were made to feel totally at home. We managed to peek in at the Conference Centre before going to our... More

Should be three and a half but I as there is not ability to give it that I have bumped it up to four stars for a number of things. The room was wonderful. The staff so friendly. Very quiet relaxing place. Problem is, it's so small that I never saw another guest and rarely was there a member of... More

How I came to finding out about this sweet little place in a discreet corner of Johannesburg was through an Internet search for a boutique hotel. The service from the minute I started engaging with the management was fantastic. They were accommodating and did not flinch every time - and it was a number of times mind you - I... More
