I had the privilege of attending a wedding celebration at this venue. I was amazed how good it looked. The view was great but not breathtaking. The service was on point. The venue was stunning, the DJ was playing good music, he knew how to satisfy his audience. I can only hope to book the venue for my own function... More

We stayed for seven days at the Reef Hotel, the room was nice. The staff were great! It would be much better if they could put a Mini Bar in the room to accommodate for our daily shopping of chocolates and cakes bought on our tours of the city!! The Drivers desk on the ground floor was very helpful, thanks... More

I had a great overall experience at the Reef Hotel. I stayed there for 5 days between August 15-20, 2014 and although I had booked a single Queen/Double bed, I was placed in a room with 2 twin beds. I requested to be moved to a different room but the hotel was fully booked that week. Other than that, the... More

The hotel did not honour the online booking rate. We were asked to pay for an extra bed in the room. Upon payment we were told that the room was too small to accomodate an extra bed and should we require one we would then need to upgrade to a deluxe room, which required a further payment. Money for the... More

From the outside it is a pretty ordinary looking building. But it is a whats inside that counts. When you off load your bags into your room head tor the bar at level 3. Take the stairs as the lifts will make you pump more adrenalin than the Tower of Terror. Lets face It Dudes we can all do with... More

The hotel is situated just outside the city, but the reception organised a free taxi to take us to the mall and back. The reception is situated on the 3rd floor and the staff were very helpful. Rooms are a good size, but open plan, so no door on the bathroom, which could be uncomfortable! My only criticism would be... More

My intention is not to badmouth a hotel which is run and managed by really good staff, but unfortunately, my really awful experience needs a voice. My family travelled with a larger group this past weekend. After sorting out a few logistical issues ( arranging that I have 2 rooms on the same floor, as my kids are under 13... More

I am French (35 years old), from Paris, I work in the fashion industry. The purpose of my trip was business. We stayed 3 weeks at the reef hotel. My friend is an interior designer, we travel a lot. The Reef is a real 4 Star Hotel (European standard), with an EXCELLENT service. The service was unbelievable, Including the room... More

DAY 1: Checked in on 03.05.15. Changed rooms as we were on 11th floor - terrible for anyone with vertigo. Had dinner downstairs at Goldminer Cafe while new room prepared: Not great but edible. Lifts took 8 minutes to reach us on the 3rd floor, where reception is. Porter conducted surprising, inappropriate, impromptu religious indoctrination; while waiting for lift. Checked... More

Spent 3 nights in this hotel. The noise from the nightclub was relentless way into the wee hours. Really, really noisy. Sleep was impossible on all three nights. Hotel was full, so no chance of a room change. The rooms are not soundproofed. Only ONE towel was supplied for Deluxe double room. No tissues in the box. No coffee pods... More

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We are sorry that your stay was not enjoyable as we are passionate about our guest experience. We have experienced issues with our lifts in the past - and this has been exacerbated since the more frequent bouts of load shedding - we are however working on a solution to the... More
