Was recommended this hotel and found it modern and good enough for sleeping. It was modern up to the point that it lacks charm. Breakfast is extra and it is possible also to get other meals. As one of the largest shopping centers is close by, I had breakfast as well as other meals outside the hotel. The "eating area"... More

The Urban Hotel has a great design and modern atmosphere. Centrally located and easy to access it stands out in the rather sleepy town of Bloemfontein. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. The only downside was that the room came without a safe to store valuables. Internet is free as long as you limit the use to about 2... More

I guess the cost for the room is basically very much average for what you get , basically a room! bar cannot assist with making a cappuccino , and only offer a select varity of alcohol , a very basic bar setup with no food order options , couldn't get the Aircon in room to work and when arriving there... We, a family of four, stopped over at the Urban Hotel for one night as we were traveling a long distance. When we booked, we asked if we could have two rooms close together as we were a family and did not want to be separated. Upon arrival we found that we had been given two rooms, next to each... More

When i came in, the personnel at the front desk seemed a bit unhappy that i was there. I did not feel welcome but was handed my roomkey and was allowed to stay for the night. At least in the morning i got a smile and a friendly good morning from the staff. Rooms look modern but are very dim... More

The hotel is situated in the core of the downtown area, one block away from the XXX mall and about 1 km away from the Waterfront Mall. The area isn't the best as there are street kids begging at the intersection and I witnessed a fight between two homeless people directly in front of the hotel. The hotel is definitely... More

I checked into The Urban Hotel having checked out of one where I experienced atrocious service. From the moment I walked through the door, I was met with a HUGE smile and absolute courtesy. The room had all the necessities and was very comfortable. I ordered dinner with a number of variations, and they catered to me with a massive... More

Was here on a business trip, and really enjoyed the stay. Very modern, clean and professional. Staff was helpful and friendly, and their breakfast was delicious. Could get crowded in the mornings which could put people off though... They also offer free Wifi in the breakfast & bar area, as well as 100mb data free per day through alwayson.

I stayed at the Urban for one night only. My reception was friendly, it was then that I noticed the good "vibe" of the staff. I found the room modern and functional. During the breakfast, which was simple but great, I had a chance to watch the interaction of the staff which ranged from a randitipn of happy birthday to... More

Compact and trendy and well situated - you pay per room and not per person which is a bonus if you travel as a couple - on the negative - pillows like bricks and would prefer a duvet - no lifts to second floor and difficult if luggage heavy - no assistance offered
