We recently stayed for 4 nights and came away feeling very rested. There is a blissful absence of rules and regulations, but the staff are friendly and helpful if you want to explore and be more active - there are several waymarked circular trails that take you through different landscapes, including over huge 'desertscape' sand dunes. Happy hunting ground for... More

This hidden gem is well tucked away along a gravel road which is a few Kms from anywhere. Once you get there you will appreciate the natural beauty of the surroundings adding to the 'get away from it all' feel. We'll appointed rooms and helpful staff together with great food make this a great place for a few days or... More

The Oyster Bay lodge is a little off the beaten track with a pure coastline property of ~250 hectars and a location in itself: beautiful scenery, a huge untouched beach, and some wild horses between the dunes. But the real charm comes from the carefully inserted luxury and privacy, with barns converted into noble chalets, and a tastefully decorated pool... More

We stayed in Oyster Bay for 2 nights in January. The 23 km gravel road drive to and from the hotel was daunting in our hire fiesta, but we got there. It was middayish and Hanse welcomed us and we met other guests and quickly settled in. The room was simple but very good and the food and wine were... More

Unfortunately, our schedule only allowed us to spend 1 night, but we greatly appreciated the personailised service, the calm and relaxing environment, the lovely beach, the nature walks, the horse riding through the dunes and along the beach. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, the only suggestion being that the lighting coulf be a bit brighter. The lodge is... More

After a 25km ride on a gravel road we reached the best location during our Garden Route round trip to Cape Town. Spacious and modern rooms with horses direct in front of your windows, excellent dinner and exciting activities (horse riding even for beginners, pick nick at the 3 km beach and dune Safari tours). We will come definitely back... More

We spent three nights in this wonderful cosy location after driving appr. 20+ kilometres on a farm track but it's worth. Our room was one of the ocean view chalets with a chimney which we could see from the bed, very romantic. We also ordered massage in the chalet, very convenient. It takes a moment to get to the beach... More

We've had the pleasure of staying at Oyster Bay Lodge for two nights. Two nights would be the absolute minimum in our opinion to take in the sheer beauty of this place. We stayed in the Luxury Chalet, which gave is a private chalet with a fireplace stocked with plenty of wood, a huge standing bath tub integrated into the... More

Amazing place to stay, Amazing staff, would like to go and visit them again soon. The wildlife, beach and accommodation was like nothing I have experienced in a long time. If you do decide to go, go for longer than just one night
