Hampton Inn is right on the highway in Kayenta, and is a great base for the Monument Valley. Hotel has a really cute Southwestern style, and the staff and hotel seem to take pride in their native and southwestern heritage. Hotel was clean and comfortable, with a good and well-stocked inclusive breakfast. But I did find it quite overpriced for... More

Loved the lobby of this hotel--tastefully decorated for Halloween/Fall with a beautiful fireplace and furniture. Free coffee/tea/cocoa to enjoy by the fire. Had a delicious dinner twice while we were there. Staff, dressed in traditional Navajo garments, were very pleasant and helpful. Great gift shop, and our room was very nice and clean. Extensive continental breakfast was good (waffles, sausage,... More

Kayenta, AZ, is not a rich metropolis, or a luxury resort destination. Its main claim to fame, as such, is its proximity to Monument Valley. It's an Indian reservation town, and looks pretty run-down. So it was a surprise to pull into the Hampton Inn here and find it so well done, so clean, attractive, and efficient. Like a gemstone... We had a great stay at this hotel when we visited Monument Valley. We used Simpson tours of Monument Valley and were very please with that as well. We were only there for one night but wished we'd planned to stay two nights to include our visit to Canyon de Chelly in Chinle, AZ. It is only a little over... More

Nice room and good alternative to the much higher priced on-reservation View hotel. Clean comfortable room.

Going to Monument Valley. Rooms was fine, large for a typical Hampton. Clean. Staff very helpful. Only had breakfast in the morning, typical Hampton fare. Very acceptable. Couldn't have asked for more.

Lee Bates could not be seated in the restaurant until his tours were all seated. when we were finally seated, he told us that he did not care about us, he was just interested in seeing that his tour groups were taken care of. At that point we got up and left. We have never been treated this way before.... More

We were told by the general manager that "you don't matter". There was a bus group in the hotel and the general manager told the staff that we (6 of us) could not be seated for dinner until the bus group as fed. They would not even seat us. When I asked the staff they said the general manager said... More
