Nice swimming pool and spacious clean room (although it smelt a bit damp). Great view of Mountains from room. From what I gather there is not really much choice in this area if you want to stop off on your way to Monument Valley. It did the job and is fine for a short stay. Kayenta itself didn't have much... Motel il located at 20/30 minutes to Monument Valley, so it's quite good but it's very expensive if compared to value of the room. Forniture is very dark, the same moquette on the floor. Our room was located in the 'new' area without any charme, a standard motel in USA.

Stayed here for one night a couple of weeks ago w my wife and 2 kids (14+16) as a stopover before visiting the beautiful monument valley. This is basically an upmarket motel. Rooms done out to a good standard w nice bathroom. However, a room here is very expensive. I think I paid about $240 for the night!! There are... More

Quite an expensive option for such an ordinary hotel (cost more for one night here than 2 nights in our much nicer hotels in San Francisco and Vegas OR a better comparison is the fab desert quail hotel in Sedona, which was almost three times cheaper and so much nicer! See reviews). It is a shame as the place has... More

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean with two large beds. The staff are friendly and efficient. The big plus for us was the guest laundry as after several weeks on the road our dirty clothes pile was building up! There isn't a huge choice of hotels in Kayenta but met our needs perfectly.

We arrived in Kayenta from Grand Canyon at 1pm during a thunderstorm and was quite disappointed that the hotel clerk would not let us check in early. Our plan had been to go straight to Monument Valley and tour the area in the afternoon, however the weather put paid to that plan. There is very little to do in the... More

not necessarily in a good way--we stayed here as part of a guided tour--the hotel is on a Navajo Reservation-that's right no alcohol-not a problem but nothing else to do-unless you are a pool person or the only other activity was a memorial to the Navajo Code Talkers from WWII inside the Burger King- I'm not making this up- all... We spend the night in Kayanta Monument Valley Inn, basically because it seemed the only reasonable option in the surroundings of Monument Valley. Although we loved the park we couldn't really appreciate the tourist-trap type of approach. A missed opportunity for such a beautiful area.

The hotel was ok, clean and comfortable. It was also very quiet even though it was full when we stayed. The restaurant that is attached however is something to avoid altogether. Ordered wings, and they came out cold and raw. Waitress brought me a second order of wings. When they arrived, they too were still raw in the middle. Also... More

3pm arrival. There were 6 parties in line - which was not moving fast. Still, we were patient and the decor was interesting to see. Seeing Navajo art is quite nice and the lobby was well appointed with a magnificient picture of Monument Valley behind the desk. Both clerks were not particularly happy, nor were they mad. They will give... More
