Well, let's see.Stayed here the evening of October 12,2009, as part of a Trafalgar bus tour, after touring gorgeous Monument Valley. I didn't like the fact that my room was upstairs and there were no elevators, not to mention the fact that the walk from my building was quite a distance to the lobby and restaurant. And,it was a real roundabout way to get... more

The room was beautiful. Large, with large desk if you wanted to do some work, mattress firm and comfy, pillows comfy.... triple sheeted service with fine linens.... HOWEVER, if you want to pay that much for a nice bed, well..... It's overpriced. Because there are so few choice in Kayenta, you feel that you're being held hostage. Definitely do NOT... more

The location is excellent for viewing Monument Valley, but you need to remember that there is nothing else to do in town. The room rate (plus Navajo surcharge) makes the whole experience less than palatable, especially as noted in an earlier review, any discount rules out breakfast. (This leads me to another gripe as a visitor to the US -... more

The staff was not friendly - our room was on the second floor - NO ELEVATOR - noisy air conditioner. The entrance door, to the building we stayed in, security lock was broken and missing. Only had 1 ice machine for 4 different buildings. Did not eat in the restaurant, but who would - the BLUE CAFE across the street... more

My husband and I stayed at this HI on our way to Monument Valley from Sedona, AZ on our honeymoon. When we pulled up, we were kind of surprised to see a motel instead of a hotel - I was pretty sure most Holiday Inns were hotels... but since this was a free hotel night redemption and we'd had a... more

My wife and I are from UK and were travelling around USA. We chose this hotel as one of the nearest to Monument Valley - before we realised that The View was opening in Monument Valley itself - we would consider the considerably higher rates just to stay there next time. The Holiday Inn Kayenta is certainly overpriced, especially as... more

We arrived at 2 pm. Check in was at 3 - no exceptions. I asked reception what there might be to do around town for an hour. No eye contact. No response other than "check in is at 3." We went for a long drive, checking in much later. The AC in our room was broken. When we called the... more

I stayed here for one night as part of a US tour. We had a lovely, clean and spacious room. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was very good. I would be happy to stay here again. more

We stayed at this Holiday Inn while in the area visiting Monument Valley & Four Corners. We changed our plans and were not able to get a room at our original hotel, so we opted for this Holiday Inn (there isn't much choice in Kayenta!) Had I seen this hotel before booking, I probably would not have stayed here. Curb... more

Cold staff. Way over-priced room. Hampton Inn (I think) just down the street much more modern. We actually thought this was a H.I. Express per an internet listing... not! Watch out for 8% reservation tax. We ended up paying $170 for the night in an old room; this was with a AAA discounted rate. We didn't get breakfast because of... more
