I first stopped at the Hampton. It was full (of tour bus groups). They sent me across the street to the Kayenta Inn, where, after tax, they wanted over $200 for a single. It too was packed with tour groups, largely people from abroad, who I imagine were willing to pay whatever. The clerk there sent me the 10 miles... More

As we couldn't find accommodation in Kayenta, we stopped for one night at the Anasazi Inn. At reception, we were made to feel unwelcome and that we were an inconvenience. Although the accommodation is clean and tidy, it is well over-priced. The restaurant reflects the fact that they have a "captured market", but it filled a gap. All in all...not... More

We too could not find a room in Kayenta and stayed for one night at Anasazi Inn. The room was fine, though a bit pricey for a motel room. There were a lot of hilarious signs in the room threatening retribution for stolen towels and telling us where to place the remote. The breakfast was quite good, though the service... More

Are you a traveler and is passing through Kayenta, do not believe what they say reps hotels alongside the highway. They always say that there are no vacancies in city hotels and make the statement of the Anasazi Inn It's a trap! I'm sure the attendants receive a bribe to make a statement. Kayenta is a region that has its... More

We stayed here because Kayenta was full and we felt it was too far to continue to Tuba City that time of night! But we wish we had continued to drive. Our room was dirty and we were unable to open the windows. Thank goodness the air-conditioner unit did work (the only thing that did). They charge a PREMIUM price... More

Pros: -Good location -Friendly restaurant staff Cons: -Front desk was snappy when on the phone with me -Hard to find parking near your room (gravel parking lot) -Keys don't lock room --must lock room from inside and shut door -Crappy soap -Cost way too much given what the place offered Bottom line: I wouldn't terribly mind staying here again, but... It starts like the opening scene of a horror movie. Our trip wasn't well thought out. We paced the hwy for hundreds of miles, near the gate of the grand canyon. Doubled back to a gas station next to the Anasazi Inn, not realizing how all the locals know about the place. Kept my mouth shut as a dozen natives... More

Worst motel we have ever stayed at, No a/c, plumbing did not work, no screens in windows. If you look over the edge of the canyon next to the motel you can see multiple black sewage pipes dumping in the canyon and the stream below. The food in the cafe was terrible....do NOT GO HERE!!!! Are the Navajo people exempt... More

We arrived late in Kayenta with no reservations. (Had hoped to drive on to Flagstaff, but was too tired). All rooms were booked except one at Kayenta Monument Valley Inn for $250. Forget that! We meandered down the road to Anasazi Inn. They had a room for 3 adults at $77. I will admit the hotel is in need of... More
