This was our first safari, my husband and I found this to be the most magical four days. We saw a wide variety of animals including the cheeters and a lynx. The game drives were fantastic, every single one was different and full of adventure. our game ranger (Gio) really made you feel safe, and tried to ensure all the... More

We are here now at Pumba and are completely blown away by this place, the people, the reserve, the food...Everything! Don't listen to these overly critical people who write anything negative...it is five stars all the way. We are staying in the Msenge family lodge...magnificently luxurious accommodations, amazing bed, linens, bathroom, view, etc. the food is plentiful and incredibly fresh.... More

Great white lion but had a very poor ranger which we had to request to be changed. Good food but very slow service! It seemed that they did not have enough staff. Very poor for a 5 star lodge. Our overseas guests had no hot water for two days in two rooms. Despite reporting this over and over! There was... More

Even though we had a bit of bad luck - it was raining cats and dogs during our one-night-stay - the atmosphere of Pumba is catching you on first sight. We stayed in the Msenge Bush Lodge which is beautifully furnished, offers a lot of space and brilliant views into the landscape. We had two Game Drives - one in... More

We stayed in the Msenge Bush Lodge from 6th-9th April as the last stop on our honeymoon and what a stop it was. It was our first safari experience and we are so glad we chose Pumba. We left the car at the gate and were transported in one of the Jeeps to our lodge. It really did feel like... More

Pumba was the perfect finale to our family holiday in South Africa. It took us 3 hours 30 minutes to drive from Knysna (at the heart of the garden route) and it was a very easy drive along fantastic roads. Pumba is well sign posted and easy to find. At the end of our stay we drove back to Port... More

An amazing place, the setting is beautiful, the safaris were brilliant and the staff were fantastic. At Pumba you are made to feel at home immediately, the staff are so warm and friendly they can't do enough for you. All staff from David the manager through to the rangers and waiting staff were so professional. The lodges themselves are very... More

Great place, didn't want to leave. Lovely staff, great food, drink and Rangers (Gladman). Accommodation exceptional and the Safari's very good spotting most animals (including Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Giraffe but sadly not Cheetah & Hyena although not for lack of our Rangers efforts! The whole experience was too good to be true...........

This was out first safari and we had a really special time. We stayed at the Water Lodge with it's amazing views, including the sight and sound of hippos at the lake on a daily basis. The rooms, with private decks, were beautiful. Our ranger Gladman was a superstar and we saw 4 of the Big 5, amongst many other... More

We had a super fantastic time when we stayed here for 3 nights at the Water Lodge in an Impala chalet (my review appears under "Pumba Water Lodge"). It was our first visit to South Africa and Pumba did not disappoint. The animals were everywhere, and we were lucky to see even the elusive male cheetahs hanging out together. Our... More
