This place is so tranquil and relaxing that you forget that you are so close to the city. An anniversary to remember. Excellent accommodation, friendly staff, gorgeous setting. A must for every over stressed person to switch off and recharge their batteries. Francois & Mariana

Real value for money - lovely and secluded - facilities awsome - picnic amazing. Would have been great to have breakfast included - maybe consider ordering continental breakfast as an option for guests.

Thank you for your review. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay and all facilities on offer. We have recently converted to self-catering only and therefore do not offer breakfasts or dinners, but we do offer picnic baskets that need to be booked in advance. We will be looking at offering a very simple breakfast basket which will... More

Everything was fantastic!!! The rooms should have aircons as we had a VERY hot day/night and couldnt open doors/windows because of the monkeys and baboon problem. The pool and bushwalk was great as well and the food was exquisite. Friendly staff, nice to meet and speak to the owner and the proximity to PE and airport exellent.

Thank you for your review, much appreciated. Just to inform you and our new clients we are in the process of getting air-conditioners installed in all of our chalets and this should be done before Easter. Kind regards, Tren More

Our stay was FAR too short! Enjoyed the tranquil setting - pure bliss! Huge benefit that it's so close to PE - no need to drive for hours & hours. One can really switch off and take your mind off everything else! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

We stayed B&B in the one of the lodge. We had planned on self catering, but when we arrived there seemed to be an error in the booking either by us or the booking agent. Anyway all turned out fine. The manager William even offered us a transfer for our 1st few days into the self catering lodge, but it... More

As a seeker of points remote and uncrowded, Thunzi seemed like a good choice...and I must say I was correct! Hornbill is a perfect choice for those happy with self-catering. Given the location, it felt appropriate to rough it in that regard. The staff were gracious and the scenery stunning. Pooh to those who complain of mosquitos in other reviews...... More

The place is not that easy to found, which makes it more valuable. Hospitable and attentive owner, provide you with all necessary information regarding stay and activities around. I must recommend to visit Predator's Sanctuary, which is nearby, following with amaizing sunset on the coastline of Seaview town. Dinner in Thunzi makes you feel at home, but the beautiful view... I decided to spend a special birthday away from home with some friends and decided on going to Thunzi Bush Lodge. I booked the Hornbill self-catering chalet as well as the Turaco Suite. The Hornbill chalet is very spacious and has breathtaking views of the indigenous forest and wetland. It was wonderfully peaceful and we thoroughly enjoyed our private boma... More

My wife and I stayed over at Thunzi for a romantic weekend at the beginning of October and it is a little piece of heaven! The chalets are all completely private and secluded in the indigenous forest. The view from our Narina chalet was of the wetland and forest which has a magnifiscent sound of birdlife, soothing for the soul,... More
