Kim McLean, the owner, made us feel right at home. Right away, you felt totally comfortable in her gorgeous surroundings. It was super clean, had everything you would need, and was well appointed. It was an excellent "home-base" for seeing the area, and was within walking distance of the ocean, restaurants, etc. The breakfasts were terrific and plentiful. Parking was... More

In a country that has many, many good B & Bs, The Anchorage will not let you down. It is owned by Kim McLean who is always friendly, pleasant and professional. The rooms are clean and comfortable and each one is a little different and remarkably private. It is walking distance to the beach and not far from shops, casino... More

The Anchorage Guest House is fabulous! The rooms are comfortable, clean, spacious, and filled with all the amenities. The guest house itself is located in a prime spot, as I was able to walk to many of the key tourist areas in Port Elizabeth, including points-of-interest, restaurants, and the Boardwalk. Plus, there is an ATM nearby. The breakfast was fresh,... More

With close attention to detail this guest house, provided great touches which made our stay perfect. Our large room had a kitchenette, full range bathroom and very comfortable bed. Breakfasts were carefully cooked to order using high quality ingrediants. It is in an ideal postion on the Garden Route to enjoy an evening stroll over looking the ocean or explore... More

The Anchorage Guesthouse was lovely and impeccably kept. We were looked after very well, our breakfast was excellant and served in a bright and air dining room that looked out over the pool area. Our room, which had been recently refurbished was fantastic with everything finished off to the highest of standards. It was very private with our own kitchenette... More

Our company has been using the Anchorage from before Kim took over. It was always good – it is now great. I have never written a review before but when my PA pointed out what I felt was an unfair critical review of the Anchorage I felt there was a first time for everything. Kim is a no nonsense host... We stayed with friends for a night at the end of a wonderful 2 weeks holiday in our favourite country. We have stayed at many B&Bs throughout SA over the last 10 years. The Anchorage is owned & managed by Kim, a confident English woman. The property is handy for local restaurants, it's best feature by far. It was probably... More
