We stayed in the Tree Frog cabin for three nights and had the most wonderful time. The cabin was immaculately clean and very well maintained. Little touches like wild flowers on the kitchen counter and good quality linen really enhanced the experience. The cabin has a lovely fireplace which is very effective in heating up the whole cabin and makes... More

We stayed in the Butterfly cottage. We not only enjoyed our spacious and clean set up, but also made use of all the fine established facilities that Moonshine has to offer. Such as, the Swimming pool, Playground and Jacuzzi. From the moment we arrived till our sad departure Sue and Albert made us feel at home. Especially my oldest daughter... More

Peaceful, tranquil, beautiful views, cosy and private cabin set in the thick of the forest. Warm and welcoming owners who made us feel right at home. A little gem in the heart of the Garden Route. Loved the jacuzzi and firewood on our doorstep each morning. Would definately go back! Thank you Albert and Sue!!

From memory we stayed at Frog Tree cottage. This is situated amongst trees and has beautiful views through the trees towards mountains. The property is reasonably well appointed with a nice balcony and even logs and kindling for the log stove was supplied. There was no tea or coffee but in fairness this had been mentioned so mere oversight probably.... More

We've stayed at Moonshine three times now. First as a couple, then as parents with a toddler and recently as a family of four. We in fact detoured quite a way en route to Cape Town in order for the kids to experience it. The kids are now aged 8 and 4 and they loved every second of it, as... More

I stayed here during the Oyster festival in Knysna. The small touches make the place: everything is thought of, the kitchen is well equipt, there were logs ready for the wood burning stove, there was a small hand drawn map of the walk down to the creek and water fall. The cabins are beautifully built by the owner and on... More

Our tour operator had booked somewhere pretty standard in Plettenberg but thanks to Trip Adviser we found this little gem, very special :-) check out the Moonshine website it tells you all about Sue & Alberts story & gives you a really good feel for what they're all about. We had a bushpig cabin, smelt beautiful on arrival - rose... More

We were very impressed with our stay. The log cabins are comfortable and atmospheric. The location is excellent - close to the N2 and the region's prominent attractions, but also amid the extensive woodlands characteristic of the Garden Route with a plethora of birdlife and flora. Even more than this, I was impressed by the service. When we booked online,... More

Stayed with 3 for 2 nights in Plett. Loved the tree houses. Well built by the owner. There was plenty to do nearby, but we loved the lunch at Enrico's. Wine sunshine and great food & service, what else do you need....

We stayed in the Tree Frog cabin for three nights during a two week trip to South Africa. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer! The location was great, as were the facilities and hospitality. The owners' commitment to preserving the beautiful environment inspired me to try to reduce my own environmental impact. We hope to go back... More
