My husband and I had booked three nights here whilst on the 'Garden Route' during our recent trip to South Africa. A modern guest house in seaside colours of blue and white with views overlooking the beach and sea. Rooms are a little on the small side but very clean, light and airy. The staff were welcoming and every afternoon... More

This is a large modern guest house tastefully designed to resemble the deck of a ship and overlooking the beach. It is about 40 minutes by foot along the beach from the centre of town, 10 minutes by car. Welcoming staff, substantial breakfasts under shades overlooking the sea, accurate advice on local restaurants and amenities. We spent hours on our... More

Returned to Periwinkle after a gap of 6 years and were pleased with the upgraded facilities. New infinity pool, new furnishings and decor and improved bathrooms. I had a massage but did not use the fitness room. The Staff were just as welcoming and efficient and we look forward to returning soon.

We had a 3 night stay at Periwinkle Guest Lodge and so enjoyed it.It is a stunning property with beautiful sea views. The rooms are lovely with a sea/beach theme...ie blue and white. The bed was so comfortable with great quality bed linen and towels.Serviced everyday and beautifully clean.Bathroom was rather special. The infinity pool looked very inviting but a little... More

The staff are attentive, extremely helpful and excellent at their jobs. Due to training and senior management being present and 'hands on'. Rooms vary in size and outlook but well appointed, to a very high standard and kept nicely morning/evening. Book in time to get view of bay - best probably have more stairs! Located miles from central Plett, just... More

We've sadly just left periwinkle to carry on the rest of our travels but we had to review it to say how much we loved this place. Sensational views, warm people, beautiful spacious rooms. We can't fault it, we always stay in pretty nice accommodation but this place we really felt was next level. When you arrive you really feel... More

This is definately one of my favourite places...homely, very clean, ideal location and spledid staff. Svena and Selby were very helpful, professional and always had a smile. I enjoyed the afternoon tea and evening wine:-) . Breakfast was scrumptious. The pool area is small but totally cool. We will definately be visiting again...and for longer.

But obviously the odd guest finds a way. We had a top floor room and it was not huge, but we had the most extraordinary view across the bay and slept to roar of the waves crashing on the beach, absolutely fabulous. The team were really helpful, which one comes to expect in South Africa, but even so it takes... More

I stayed here for 12 days during my holiday. It is luxurious and beautiful. Gorgeous views and a fantastic pool, right on the beach. Pascalette and the team are lovely and inviting, they couldn't have been nicer. They looked after us the entire time and did everything we needed. they made restaurant reservations for us. My room was on the... More
