We stopped in at the Grand for lunch and really enjoyed it. They had a limited Winter menu but we managed to find a dish each to enjoy. The boys and myself enjoyed the lamb burgers and my wife loved the fried Kingklip. The view from the patio was just awesome, overlooking the lagoon, coast and beaches. Service was very... More

The service at Le Grand was just amazing. The rooms are fantastic, the beds awesome and the warm water bottles that is waiting in your bed the most amazing surprise of all. I never had this at any other place and that gave a very unique and special feel to my stay. The location is the best!! The staff at... More

There is nothing about this place I can say other than so swanky, shabby chic, and perfect....from the hot water bottles placed in our beds at night to the brilliant candelabra by the claw foot bath overlooking the sea. The room was huge and the price is right. Food downstairs is superb and the views on the patio are beautiful.... More

This place is outstanding - seriously, I cannot think of a single negative thing about the night we stayed there (other than one night was way too short to appreciate its charms). We were in 'room' 8, which was about twice as big as my entire flat in London. The wrought-iron (supremely comfortable) bed was so high there were little... More

Loved this place. Amazing quirky rooms. The highest bed ever but oh so comfy. Large room with everything you needed and a bit more. Great small pool. Restaurant just a few steps away. Great breakfast and excellent dinners. Lovely views. Staff friendly and attentive. We only stayed for 2 nights enjoyed every minute

A fabulous place! Absolute bliss! Beautiful big rooms with their own balconies (ask for this) with a breathtaking view over the lagoon, beach, sea and mountains. Professional service and staff who attend to your every need: special people who are friendly, so obliging without being familiar. Wonderfully quirky décor, comfortable, excellent food and a spa for pampering - all fabulous!... More

We stayed in the Baths Room, I found it rather dark & gloomy though my husband loved it, so it is just a matter of taste. 2 old baths side by side was fun but as there was no shower screen we flooded the bathroom when we used the showers, which I felt a bit guilty about. We really enjoyed... More

We chose the Grand Café & Rooms for a one night stopover whilst driving the Garden Route but wished we had stayed longer. Quirky but stylish and very out of the ordinary. Luxurious shabby-chic in Africa.

We have been to The Grand in Cape Town many times and have always loved it, therefore we were very excited to visit The Grand in Plett...what a terrible disappointment! Service was terrible. Our margaritas was so bad and sour, we couldn't drink it. We sent it back and they treated us like idiots by bringing back exqctly the same... More

We visited Grand Café and Rooms for two nights over the Easter weekend. We stayed in Room 6 and loved it. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we slept in, in South Africa during our trip along the Garden route. At first we didn’t know what to make of Room 6, you had to step up on... More
