We stayed two nights in this fabulous, quirky place. Our room was quite amazing with two Juliet balconies overlooking the garden with a lovely view, a stand alone bath, scarily high bed and comfortable living area. The staff were friendly, the bar, restaurant and food were lovely and I would gladly stay here again.

Deceptive from the outside, but this is a very cool and chic boutique hotel. Very unique style rooms where they have managed to maintain the antiquity and character with every modern convenience. It is not a mass market place and you need to like the quirky features of some winding stairs and boutique space, but this does not detract from... More

The Hotel itself is fantastic and in a central location and staff were very accommodating and friendly. My only critiscm would be the breakfast, which I would have thought would have been of a higher standard.

The Grand Cafe and Rooms do not look 'grand' from the outside, but when you step through the door ... gasp! Lots of oohs and aahs escaped my mouth. A fantastically organised mess ... ballet shoes hanging from a chandelier, the pink pig, We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The high bed ... not sure whether this... More

Quirky is the only word to describe this hotel/restaurant. The decor throughput the place is different, nothing matches, pictures not hung, but everything just seems to live together in happy harmony. Having said that, the rooms are not terribly comfortable, and are in need of a bit of damp proofing and repair. Our supper and breakfast were different, but excellent.... More

My husband and I had a nice lunch here. The decor is quirky and pleasant. The deck has a nice view. We enjoyed our lunch of lamb burgers which tasted very good but the menu had very little to choose from on it and we felt that for tourists in a seafood town it was a shame to have to... More

If you are Looking for somewhere with unique, chic decor then this is the place. Rooms are full of character and each different. A footstool is provided to climb onto the bed (needed!) and the rooms come with free standing claw foot bath with a candelabra. Rooms are extremely spacious with the upstairs ones having great views over Plettenberg Bay.... More

We stayed one night here during our tour of the Garden Route. This is a unique hotel and had a lovely romantic and individual style. The room we had was extremely spacious with a balcony overlooking the bay - spectacular. The hosts were considerate and charming and made us feel very welcome. Dinner in the restaurant in the evening was... More

Being located in the centre of town lead me to think that I would confined ---not the case -- the setting is great --private & intemate but also a fantastic view from the terrace -- the staff were wonderful and helpful going out of there way to assist with making the stay a wow experiance -- the suite is fabulous,... We were booked in the Grand Cafe and Rooms for one night on our honeymoon trip and were treated like royalty in the Bath House ! The room and its amenities are definitely memorable with 2 old school baths alongside each other, one huge tall bed and an outside swimming pool ! But it isn't just the candle lit romantic... More
