We had a wonderful time and Packwood wines are great. We stayed in the main house and it was excellent. On arrival we were treated with fresh bread just baked, real farm style butter, wines and fresh farm milk. Fire places loaded with wood and the friendly staff always there to make our stay special. We did some great mountain... More

Our recent overnight stay at Packwood quite literally set the benchmark for service delivery in South Africa. The spectacular view was outmatched only by the warm welcome we received by our hosts Vicky and Peter, who continued to impress right throughout our stay. Our rooms were specially prepped and waiting for us on arrival after a long drive, which made... More

We really enjoyed our Packwood Country Estate Wine Tasting & Lunch experience!! All their Wines & most of the Foods they serve are grown on their own Farm ... LOVE Self-Sustainable! They also support Local Farmers by serving some of their Products ... Keep it Local! Great Wines for the Wine Tasting. I personally LOVE their Bubbly!! The lunch was... More

A visit to Packwood Wine and Dairy early yesterday afternoon was a bit of a disappointment. A 3-wine tasting and cheese board lunch cost a whopping R200 per head! Charging R50 pp to taste 3 wines is expensive, especially when all that is on offer is a Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and MCC. Four of us shared a cheeseboard and... More

We recently visited Packwood with a team of corporate staff members for some team building and strategy planning. The views at Packwood are breath taking. The accommodation is lovely, and the wines are absolutely superb. The real draw card however are the owners, Vicky and Peter... They were the perfect hosts. We shared a fun filled afternoon with stories, facts... More

We had noticed this estate the previous day and when the weather took a turn for the worse we called in to sample the wine. We arrived too late for lunch but 'Kim' gave us a friendly welcome and gave us detailed information on the three wines being sampled. All three wines were superb and both my wife and I... More

We met friends who live in the area for lunch and although the view was lovely,we had to sit in the shade and it was terribly cold. We were offered blankets which helped but perhaps it would be advisable to place some seating in the sun. We ordered the cheese lunch which is the only meal on offer for R150.... More

We would like to stress to people reading this review, a few facts that have failed to be included by shashy2014. It was very frustrating that not one of the visitors from this party felt they could approach a member of staff at the time of the visit to discuss their unhappiness. Had they done so we would have ensured... More

I am now a cheese fan, love the rosemary & chilli cheese, fresh garden greens and warm breads. The view at Packwood was amazing & we would have happily paid to sit and enjoy the views all day, well worth the R150 for lunch. Thanks to Ilsa and Kim for making us feel welcome over the Easter holidays. If you... More

Lovely setting with incredible views but R150 per head (and we were 4 people, so a total of R600) for a board of cheese, bread and a salad is way overpriced. Much better value to be found in and around Plett. Wont be back.

I stayed at Bottlebrush Cottage between 7th - 20th February. Firstly I was made to feel very welcome by Peter, Vicky and the staff. The whole estate is stunning, with beautiful views looking out over the ocean in the distance. If you are up early do not miss out on the amazing sunrise. The cottage is perfect for a couple;...
