On a road trip from Durban back to Cape Town, we stopped here for the night. Very clean, extremely well equipped, and very courteous hosts. A beautiful home with lovely gardens, and situated in a residential area, close to center of town but away from all the noise. Wonderful breakfast. Highly recommended! Great water pressure in the shower too, a... More

As owner of Glenview Guest House in Durban (rated No 1 on TripAdvisor) I am curious to see how my place compares to highly rated guest houses elsewhere in South Africa. Jenny's Guest House (well managed by Clair & Gavin) is one of the places with that wonderful mix: comfortable room and bathroom, tranquil setting, a good breakfast but above... More

Good place to stay as stopover. Friendly staff, good facilities. Nice neighbourhood. They said free wifi but from our room there was no signal, so that didn't work for us at all. They need a range extender to cover that room I guess. Pool, nice breakfast with options. Comfortable beds, good shower. Our little boy loved playing with the dogs... More

My wife booked this guest house direct. Its in one of the Grahamstown's suburbs - a 5 minute drive to downtown. We had the two bedroom apartment over the garage. The apartment itself is fine. Ideal for a family with two bedrooms with en-suites, a kitchen area and sitting area. The couple who run it are very pleasant and welcoming.... More

Thank you for your review. I have investigated the issue of providing Wi-Fi for multiple devises and have established that it is possible to have access to multiple devises from a single voucher. On your advice I have increased the duration of access. Kind Regards Claire More

I am not sure why this B&B has received so many excellent comments because it is only average. Either the other reviewers are easily pleased or don't get out much. We had a rather depressing room that had dark wooden panels on the sloping ceiling. The ensuite was very tiny with only enough room to just about dry yourself without... More

This place is just exquisite. Claire is so incredibly welcoming, and was more than willing to show me where to go and catch a few sights around town in my overnight stopover. The peaceful atmosphere and well thought out additions to the room really make it a fantastic place to stay.

The reservation, welcome, tour, room and facilities were all great. However, the mattress in the bedroom in the front left looking at the house, was far too soft resulting in me having a bad night. Time to invest in a new mattress!

Well, found the place on Rooms for Africa and stayed for e week as a part of a research study. Claire and Gavin are excellent host and helped us with contacts that we could interview. We also met a fellow guest, Henk, that showed us the ropes in and around Grahamstown. Rooms are large and clean at the guesthouse, breakfast... More
