Friendly staff; nice breakfast. Honeymoon suite very disappointing! TV not working; no soft drinks on the premises. The room temperature was the worst - aircon not working on heat. Wall mounted heaters hopeless especially for the size of the room. Thankfully it wasnt our honeymoon!!! Definately not 4 star rating!

Disappointing stay, from 23 Dec to 27 Dec. Over-priced for what you get. I feel they are not four-star quality. We had booked the Family flat, which is at the back of the building, small and claustrophobic. Kitchen area was greasy and not clean. The two-plate stove control switch was broken. Our and one other guest’s vehicles were burgled in... More

What a stunning place to stay in this small Eastern Cape Town. The room was incredibly spacious and fully equipped with a full bathroom including a great oval bath. Was able to work comfortably and wifi is available if needed. Will definitely be back on my annual trip.

Rala and Jolandi were the epitome of hospitality! Very pleasant stay, and conveniently close to town. The guesthouse rooms are lovely and apartment 12 was really great. The back cottages are a bit dated, could do with a revamp. Definitely recommend the White House for your stay in Grahamstown.

We wanted somewhere on the hills over looking yne town but reasonably convenient, with character, grounds and good service for a two night stop over. We got it. In fact that says it all. Well very nearly. Breakfast was made exactly as asked and in double quick time making for a great start to the day, the bedroom had two... More

On our way around Sth Africa on holiday in May 2013 we had the great pleasure of staying at this fantastic place. The staff were more than helpful and the rooms were incredible. In fact I can't say enough re the whole place. If in Grahamstown please stay there. It's the best Pam& Harley NZ

We stated for a few nights here and were impressed by the professional service and the great rooms. The bed and particularly the pillows were wonderfully comfortable. The electric blanket was great at keeping us warm on chilly spring nights.

We stopped over for one night on a business trip. The hotel was clean, comfortable and breakfast was good. Rooms are warm ( it was freezing outside) and there are electric blankets. A good stop over on route from east London to port Elizabeth. Thank you Bertie!

we stayed at The White House in Grahamstown on our way to Cape Town and were so pleased with Guest House that we book for a night on our journey back to KZN. They provided everything we needed for our little girl and it was a very comfortable, clean and friendly experience. They even packed our breakfast for our road... More
