Planned a motorbike trip to Sabie and around the South Coast and booked and paid deposits in advance, arrived in East London to find our room was given to someone else and they were full. Very disappointing. We were refunded, but that is still very disappointing when that happens. The overall appearance of the place looked nice, but we never... More

We could not believe our luck in finding this accommodation. We used it as a first night stop over after our wedding. The proprietor Sue could not have done anymore for us; Chocolates, champagne, fruit, candles, bubble bath. The accommodation and service was fautless. Guys if you want some brownie points..take your lady here ! Sue also provided us with... More

The Loerie Hide is a lovely place to stay. We were very warmly welcomed and given very good advice about different places to visit. The room was lovely and very well equipped. The breakfast was just delicious and we spent a lovely time in this wonderful environement. The wifi works very well !

Wonderful in so many ways - tasteful décor, rich vegetation, friendly hospitality, lovely breakfast. Beautiful setting overlooking Nahoon Lagoon. Peaceful & secure. I will be back with family! Thank you so much, Sue and all the staff!

This is a little gem of a place set in beautiful gardens. We stayed in the Colonial Room which was very tastfully furnished, clean and spacious . The pool area was great for a refreshing dip after a long hot drive. Breakfast was delicious with lots on offer, was actually one of the best breakfast we had during our 5 week... More

Initially planned to stay two nights, but couldn't resist another in the most comfy "Stone Room". We were looking for a place outside the Ironman 70.3's "hustle & bustle" at the beach front and found this tranquil guest house in the dense coastal bush, but still only a few minutes from the beach. The service was great and breakfast amazing.... More

Had a wonderful overnight stay. Sue is really hospitable and very friendly and the staff were lovely. We stayed in the Safari Room which was very luxurious with a lovely balcony outside set amongst the trees. Our friends were in the room below which was also superb. The guest house is in a lovely setting on the outskirts of East... More

Stayed over 1 night at the Loerie Hide Guest House Oct. 10th with Sue and her staff. Great, spacious room overlooking the valley filled with birdlife, excellent bed (not unimportant when measuring 6ft4) and breakfast. All at a very affordable price. Flexible checkout and warm hospitality for free. Keep it up! Viola & Johnny

What a joy to stay at Sue's sanctuary in East London. Waking up to the birdsong and freshest of air on the slopes of the Nahoon River was a joy. The room was fabulous. The linen perfect. And Sue as obliging as anyone could wish for. She recommended Le Petit for dinner and it was fantastic. Walking distance. Will definitely... More
