This was an overnight stop on a long trip from Western Cape to Natal. We received a very warm welcome and great advice on finding somewhere to have dinner. We stayed in the very clean and comfortable Colonial Room. The balcony overlooking the pool was really special. We would have liked to have stayed a little longer. Thanks to Sue... More

This is the second time we have had the pleasure of staying in Loerie Hide, and we have found it a genuinely wonderful experience. On the first occasion my husband & I spent a romantic weekend in the bungalow, it was fresh & invigoratingly, and in touch with the lush wonder of the nature of the Eastern Cape - the... More

Had booked to stay 2 nights/weekend in the Colonial room. Arrived just as a wedding party were departing for the ceremony but welcomed by Tracy (Sue apparently away) and taken to our room. It had been wet weather for a couple of days and the paths were rather slippery. However we were helped with our luggage. The room/bathroom were amass... More

What a find, our room overlooked a wooded garden, which, unfortunately we did not have time to explore. We had a very comfortable room, very clean with a well equipped bathroom. An excellent breakfast was served on the terrace where we conversed with a couple of very interesting guests before being joined by Sue, a charming hostess. We thoroughly recommend... More

I stayed at the Loerie Hide for one night only but could easily have stayed for weeks. The guest house is set in a beautifully lush garden and I stayed at the Rondawel which is beautifully presented, gives the impression of being in your own private space and has a great view over a quiet valley. The property is generally... More

Planned a motorbike trip to Sabie and around the South Coast and booked and paid deposits in advance, arrived in East London to find our room was given to someone else and they were full. Very disappointing. We were refunded, but that is still very disappointing when that happens. The overall appearance of the place looked nice, but we never... More

Dear LovethailandCapeTown, Thank you for valuable input. I'm sorry I haven't addressed this sooner. I have been away. Unforeseen circumstances can cause even the best to have a slip, especially the challenge of a technological glitch. This isn't an excuse, because indeed there can be no excuse, but an explanation. This explanation is only to assure you that all 'bugs'... More

We could not believe our luck in finding this accommodation. We used it as a first night stop over after our wedding. The proprietor Sue could not have done anymore for us; Chocolates, champagne, fruit, candles, bubble bath. The accommodation and service was fautless. Guys if you want some brownie points..take your lady here ! Sue also provided us with... More

This is a little gem of a place set in beautiful gardens. We stayed in the Colonial Room which was very tastfully furnished, clean and spacious .
