I stayed there over the past weekend. It's in a nice location surrounded by wooded forest off the highway. The accommodation cabin was basic at best. Seem to be a place out of the past. Hasn't been updated in ages. There were very cheap fixtures. No phones service or wifi so be prepared to have downtime. The bed was very... More

We sprang for a free standing cabin in the front row so that the view from the porch was the beautiful meadow rimmed with pines and spruce trees. Glorious to wake up to that view. Beds were fine. The staff were very friendly. The food itself was not particularly good, but eggs and bacon at breakfast was fine. We stopped... More

This was the worst place I have ever stayed in. My family of 5 stayed in the Deer View Cabin. However, it was not a cabin, it was a motor home. There was no front door; rather, a sliding glass door which DID NOT LOCK and was covered by a ratty old sheet and no screen door. There were thousands... More

Where to start? We arrived (6 of us) out of our group of 14 and the front desk wouldn't tell us where the rest of our party was staying at the lodges there. Phones didn't work so we drove around and found them. All of the cabins or rooms are very dated. The grounds are not kept and the place... More

The bed is so bad I was too scared to look for bed bugs. The walls are paper thin and you hear everything in the room next to you. Even a light snore. We had paid for the room and still slept in our car and just used the bathroom. Some of the staff is very friend one woman is... More

The cabin we stayed in was clean and fairly comfortable, though it only had a coffee maker. The bathroom sink had separate faucets for hot and cold water, which I have never seen before (see photo). It made me wash my face in an interesting way. If I stayed there another night, I would have personally verified they had CO2... More

We were welcome by friendly people in the cozy fireplace room. Our accommodations were a second floor room in a rustic 4 unit building. Outside the lodge dozens of mule deer grazed and the ride to the north rim was short. Room was spacious and clean with ancient indian art replicated on the walls. A coffee maker was a nice... More

My husband & I stayed there for 3 night the end of May. Couldn't get into GC lodge. We were in one of the quad cabins built in the '20s (I think). It was rustic and that could have been OK. But many of the amenities were just plain run down & cheap: the mattress was 2" thick, the towels... More

I've read many of the reviews criticising this place, but I have to question how real their expectations were? We booked this despite some of the poor reviews after considering both the fairer reviews and also what our own expectations were. This is a very remote lodge on the edge of the grand canyon park. We had intended to stay... More

Once you turn off Rt. 89A at Jacob's Lake, this is the only restaurant until you reach the lodge of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We had a very pleasurable experience. Though it was mid-May, it was snowy and rainy when we first arrived, and we were camping literally next door at the Demotte Campground. The Kaibab Lodge... More
