We stayed here on the last night if our honeymoon, it was so perfect, I wish we had booked more days. Attended the presentation by John Rich about the Navajo people. It was truly inspiring. That alone would be worth the trip. The staff was so helpful, the entire place was so charming. We staying in a cabin, and it... More

Stayed for 2 nights and staff couldn't have been more friendly. Food was good and bar welcoming. There is no tv or wifi but some good local walks, the wonderful north rim plus Jacobs Inn put on evening talks - we attended both nights and found them very interesting. The Motel is basic but they try really hard and it... More

The cafe was very good. The room was terrible. Old, small, awful carpet, small unclean shower. We actually tried to stay at dinner as long as possible to keep from going back to the room. No wifi and no tv.

We stayed here for three nights in one of the hotel rooms. The whole experience from check in to check out was great. We arrived too early to get the key to our room but were able to check in and just swing by later to pick up the key. The room was clean and practically furnished with a lovely... More

We stayed in one of the cabins here for two nights whilst visiting the North Rim of the Grand Canyon which was so peaceful! The cabins themselves did the job they needed to; the beds and linen were clean and there was hot water for a shower but not much else. When eating I would recommend to stick to the... More

We stayed here for one night while driving through the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. When we pulled in we were starving, exhausted and woozy from the elevation and drive -- it's a long climb up a very windy road to reach Jacob Lake. We ate at the restaurant at the Inn before checking in. It's what you'd expect... More

We spent the night before heading to the Grand Canyon North Rim 45 miles away. The cabins actually house 4 separate rooms. Our room was cozy, bathroom definitely on the small side, no TV or internet. With that said, we found the place charming. I had read tripadvisor, so we were expecting rustic. We did not hear anything from the... More

We stayed here on a recent visit to the Grand Canyon North Rim. We stayed in the motel. Rooms were comfortable and clean and had a small patio so you could sit outside. Very peaceful place and beautiful at night. The staff was very friendly and the fresh baked cookies in the diner are to die for. Best hot coffee... More

We were excited about staying in a rustic cabin--this was way below rustic. To access our cabin, we had to climb up rocks that were difficult to climb without a hand rail! There were no outside lights which made access even more difficult. Once inside--yuck! The sinks had remnants of what appeared to be paint residue. The bathrooms were so... More

You are correct that the bathrooms are small and so are the showers. These rooms were built in a time when these were usual sizes for bathrooms. We have showers because they use less water than bathtubs and all our water must be hauled here by truck. We do not advertise or guarantee Wifi access. If ask when reserving a... More

I've stayed here a number of times, but not in several years. Last night I stayed again, at the end of an 18 day road trip, most of it camping. I enjoyed the trout dinner very much in the dining room, and liked that a half bottle of Chardonnay was only $10.50. Many of the summer employees are young LDS... More

Thank you for your review and for coming to stay with us again. We know the rooms are rustic and are glad you appreciated their character. We had a very mild winter in 2013 and, as a result, there have been lots of critters here this summer. The Grand Canyon lodge has had a lot of problems with mice. It... More
