After returning home from a trip out west visiting many national parks, we stopped at Jacob Lake Inn and shopped the gift shop there - twice. I purchased an Navaho designed and crafted bracelet. I wore the bracelet twice and noticed that one of the coral stones was missing the next time I took it out to wear it. I... More

So we are a family that like to try different things. Everyone told us go to the south Rim, we went to the North. So, the North is much less traveled and more wilderness. The downside to the North Rim, not many places to stay at. However, if you don't mind traveling an hour into the Rim from your lodging,... More

This is a great place to stay just outside of North Rim of the Grand Canyon. It has all of the essentials - rooms, cabins, a store with groceries and other essentials, restaurant, and gas. We stayed in a cabin, which was fun, but not overly luxurious. On the other hand, the price was right. Beautiful, peaceful setting.

We were 2 ladies traveling over the pass when we hit an unexpected snow storm after dark. We pulled into the Inn only to find out they were completely booked. The very friendly staff allowed us and our aged and ailing dog to come in and sit by the fire. A hot meal and lovely bottle of wine and we... More

We stayed for one night on our way to the North Rim. This Inn is definitely a one-stop place for your traveling needs. Our cabin was small and cozy, perfect for a single-night stay. I'm not sure there's any reason to stay longer since it is just north of the Grand Canyon. The main building has a snack bar, store,... More

Food was average. Nothing special. But since there weren't many other places in the area to eat, it was the closest option unless we would have driven into another town quite a drive away in the mountains. It was in the Inn and offered a lot of desserts. They had home made cookies that were okay but I heard others... More

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you did not enjoy the cookies as much as our guests normally do. I will certainly pass on your review to the bakery. More

We spent the day visiting the North Rim of Grand Canyon and Jacob Lodge seemed the ideal place to stop overnight. We had booked a room in the hotel block, check in was quick and the staff pleasant. We were pleased with the room, it was clean and well presented. Although the Inn was situated on a cross roads and... More

At no point did I get the message that this Inn had no Internet or TV either. Imagine my surprise when on entering our room we realized that neither of these was available! It was like a trip to the early 50's we counted dots in the ceiling tiles! It was certainly a different experience. If you would like to... More

Thank you for your review. If you stayed in one of our cabins it is true that there is no internet, but our newer lodge rooms do have Wifi. More

Came across this place on our way to the Grand Canyon North Rim. Since we arrived after the Park Lodge had closed for the season, Jacob Lake Inn was the closest motel available. Everything you might need can be found right here: room, meals, Wi-Fi, fuel, convenience store, and gift shop. The place has a 1920's lodge feel to it.... More

Thank you for your review. Our lodge is older, as you say, and there is a feeling of a bygone time here, especially if you mean that our staff is clean cut, intelligent, and courteous. We are glad that you enjoyed your time with us and hope that you will come again. More
