I would recommend staying in one of the cabins, but make it one night. Rustic doesn't mean dirty. They were very original to the point critters lived in the rafters and under the old cabins. You had a clean shower and clean linens, but the clean stops there. We made the mistake of staying 4 days. The first day, like... More

We stopped here on a long rainy drive from South Rim to Zion National Park and it turned out a great, cosy place to warm up and have a yummy burger and excellent fries. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. It's a family-run business and you can feel the warm spirit, they also offer accommodation, their fire place smells like it... More

Thanks for the review! This is a family owned business, we have had Jacob Lake Inn since 1923. The photographer is one of the owners, Matt Rich, and living in this area his whole life has given him a deep love for the country around here and an insight into the spirit of the place. So glad you enjoyed the... More

This is a cute place up in the woods "near" the north rim of the Grand Canyon. I read the reviews posted by others and was expecting rustic accommodations. Reviews were mixed about cleanliness and service. I was here on an overnight visit with a friend. The cabin we stayed in was indeed rustic. Two rooms separated by a small... More

My husband, family ,some friends and I stayed here while visiting the Grand Canyon area. The accomodations were very nice, the food in the restaurant was good and the staff was great. I would highly recommend Jacob Lake Inn.

The Inn is located about an hour north of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon at the junction of US 89A and State Route 67 (the road to the Grand Canyon). My wife and I stayed here after two nights at the Grand Canyon Lodge on the North Rim. It was a wonderful place to stay. We stayed in... More

What a great review! We are so glad you enjoyed what Jacob Lake Inn has to offer- good, friendly service by people who genuinely want to help you, good food at reasonable prices, excellent cookies, outstanding Native American merchandise, interesting presentations on photography and Navajo culture and a clean, comfortable place to stay. We have been here since 1923 and... More

This is one of only 2 or 3 places to stay or eat within an hour of Grand Canyon's North Rim. This is not luxury or fine dining, but it is clean, neat, and friendly. The room had (weak) WiFi and a TV and a balcony, which is more than I can say for our cabin at the North Rim.... More

We appreciate your review and are glad you enjoyed staying in the forest and were able to see so much bird and wildlife. It is also nice that you realized that our rooms compare favorably to those at the North Rim lodge. We hope to have you as our guests again. More

I loved Jacob's Inn but I had no expectations going in - it was just a stop on our way to hiking north to south rim. it was a surprise to stay at such a true 'lodge-y' feeling place. It had a nice campy-family road trip feel. The main lobby with café, bakery and gift shop was right out of... More

We made a spur of the moment decision to stay here for the night and see the North Rim of the Grand Canyon at sunset (my husband had never been there) rather than push ahead and drive to Flagstaff on our way home from visiting family in Utah. They had a cabin available for less than the price of their... More

We are so glad you stayed with us at Jacob Lake Inn. The cabins are, as advertised, rustic, and are clean and maintained. This is a great place to stay and be in the beautiful, quiet forest. We are constantly trying to get better service with things like Wifi, but getting companies to invest in infrastructure in places as remote... More

We knew this was not a fancy hotel going in and we didn't need one. After all you're out in the wilderness with this place. That being said, we found the room quite comfortable, the staff very friendly and attentive, and the setting delightful. Be prepared for no cell service, cable or internet as there is none. Remember, this is... More

Thank you for your thoughts about staying at Jacob Lake Inn. The older rooms are rustic and basic, but provide all that is needed for a good night's sleep. Our newer rooms are more updated, and provide television and, when the wind blows the right way and you stand on one foot and whistle Dixie, the internet. You got the... More

Cabin was several old units cobbled into one with a bathroom "tacked on". Inside was clean but floors were slanted from a lot of settling. Were bats within the outside wood paneling; staff addressed this as "well it is rustic". Staff had trailers next to cabins and stayed up late with a lot of noise. Not worth the money charged.... Thank you for your review. The cabin you were in was not cobbled into one, they were constructed to be adjoining units. We apologize about the noise, we have spoken to the housekeeping staff about the need to consider our guests. About the bats, we do try to control the tendency of the wildlife to seek homes in our buildings,... More
