It's a funny experience to stay at Wigwam motel as it's totally different to other motels. The bedrooms are very simple but comfortable anyhow. There is no other extra service as breakfast. Don't use the air conditioning at night because it's a very old and noisy system. You can also hear the very long trains running a few meters from... More

Stopped here for one night of our road trip. Room was basic, clean and comfortable. Town isn't much, get in early if you want a sit down dinner, otherwise it's pizza. There is a good collection of antique and classic cars around the property, and the owners didn't seem to mind lookers and people just stopping for pictures, but for... More

That's pretty much as good as it gets. We really wanted to love this place but just couldn't. The good points are that you're staying in a wigwam the has its own classic car outside and that the rooms are clean. However, it's really run down, the rooms are beyond shabby, the air con is loud and the bed has... More

Traveling with friends on a Rt 66 trip. Stayed one night in a teepee. The hotel has seen better days and with a little work could be in its glory again. Old cars are parked outside teepees for picture perfect shots. However, it was a nostalgic motel stay and worth a night. Everything worked, but the showers are tight. The... More

After a day spent in the Petrified Forest National Park, my son and I were looking forward to dinner and good night's rest. During our trip planning, I'd shown my son pictures of various motels and hotels along Route 66 and allowed him to pick which ones in which we'd be staying. The Wigwam Motel in Holbrook was his first... More

After my son found out that we were going to drive a section of Route 66, he declared that he wanted to stay at a "Cozy Cone" (from the movie Cars). While that wasn't possible, why not stay at a place that inspired it? Needless to say, my child was very excited when we pulled up. It's very quaint. If... More

It's a great place to stay, particularly if you have kids. It has old, classic cars parked in front of each wigwam which is a nice idea. The motel lacks the personal touch because the staff seem a bit bored. But overall it's well worth the stop but book stupidly far in advance it books up really early.

I went ahead and booked this motel based off of other user reviews, but had a little concern beforehand. Turns out the reviews were correct. We only stayed one night and arrived later than expected, but the motel worked with us and were very pleasant. Yes, the bathrooms and shower are small, but it's a wigwam! It's to be expected.... We loved the collection of the old cars. The room is small but fits four comfortably. The room could use up dates but then again that's what's interesting about it. No pool onsite but would have been nice. The front desk lady was really nice. Souvenir are sold in the reception area.

You are staying in a concrete teepee, what more can I say. They are comfortable and quiet, quiet beyond belief actually. If small spaces bother you I recommend you try elsewhere. This is a fun place to stay, one you will never forget. The lobby is a museum and interesting to walk though. Be prepared for tourists walking though the... More
