This is a place to stay for thrill of sleeping in a Wigwam. The unique layout maximizes all available space, which as a result is a surprisingly big. The downside...the beds are NOT comfortable (hard as a rock, and not made for tall people). Other than that, this place is absolutely cool. more

We stopped at the Wigwam Motel on our Route 66 roadtrip. It was the best!! A true highlight of the trip! We stayed in Wigwam #1 - the room was roomy and spotlessly clean. The original furnishings are so cool and I loved taking a shower in the teepee. The little bathroom was so cute and I actually loved how... more

Rooms bigger than expected - historic era cars parked in front of each Wigwam to add to the nostalgia - SUPER Friendly staff - nice museum in the office. Felt like reliving the old days of Route 66. American Indian dances in Holbrook each weeknight, less than 1 mile from hotel. A Route 66 must visit location. more

Spent a couple of nights here while visiting nearby Petrified Forest National Park. It's quite an experience. Without going into much detail about the rooms themselves (most has been covered in other reviews), the only thing I wish they'd do is make the doors more secure - mine had a doorknob that seemed to be on it's last leg and... more

Not much to say that hasn't been already said: It is a wonderful old piece of Americana, maybe a little threadbare in some spots, but the rooms are clean and decorated in a style that evokes the 50's and 60's. The beds are very comfortable and, although the trains were passing by close and frequent, I heard nothing through the... more

There is nothing fancy about this place, but it is very cool to sleep in. The little rooms have a bed (or two), a small desk, a small tv, bath and show, a/c, and heat. Book early since it is a popular little motel. My wife and I chose this place because its a historical landmark. The prices is pretty... more

Our night in the Wigwam Motel was like going back in time. The Wigwam is one of the iconic motels on the Mother Road but you already know this. Staying here is something you need to do once. like going to Punxsutauney on groundhog day. OK so the room is small, the bathroom shower is wierd and the AC is... more

Very interesting place to stay along Route 66! Quirky clean rooms. Excellent service. There is even a small Museum at the rear of the office with Route 66 memorabilia. more

I stayed at the Wigwam while making my way from the east coast to the west coast. These wigwams are really cool. The room is round, and has that mid-century wooden type furniture in it. The airconditioning works great. People are constantly pulling in and taking pictures and it makes you feel kind of excited that you actually have a... more

We had seen the Wigwams 17 years ago when we were on a family vacation with our 2 sons. We finally got back to stay with our 2 sons and their families. We had 3 wigwams and stayed for 2 nights. Our granddaughters (12 and 13) recognized the "cars" parked in the the lot as the real life models for... more
