It's a great place to stay, particularly if you have kids. It has old, classic cars parked in front of each wigwam which is a nice idea. The motel lacks the personal touch because the staff seem a bit bored. But overall it's well worth the stop but book stupidly far in advance it books up really early.

I went ahead and booked this motel based off of other user reviews, but had a little concern beforehand. Turns out the reviews were correct. We only stayed one night and arrived later than expected, but the motel worked with us and were very pleasant. Yes, the bathrooms and shower are small, but it's a wigwam! It's to be expected.... We loved the collection of the old cars. The room is small but fits four comfortably. The room could use up dates but then again that's what's interesting about it. No pool onsite but would have been nice. The front desk lady was really nice. Souvenir are sold in the reception area.

You are staying in a concrete teepee, what more can I say. They are comfortable and quiet, quiet beyond belief actually. If small spaces bother you I recommend you try elsewhere. This is a fun place to stay, one you will never forget. The lobby is a museum and interesting to walk though. Be prepared for tourists walking though the... More

This stay was about what we expected. A nice vintage atmosphere in a quite simple motel. A cozy room with 2 beds and a small bathroom with shower, Friendly staff. Loved the place for a night though we woke up by the train passing several times.

What a neat place. It is small. Family run. But what a hoot to stay in a true 66 icon. The rooms are small but clean. Amenities are few but it's not a resort. It is the real deal of an old time motel. Some cool stuff in the office and vintage cars parked by the rooms.

We stayed here with our teens on our way to the Grand Canyon. There are no bells and whistles, no WiFi but we were glad we stayed. It was a nice memory for our family. The rooms are tiny, but hey...it's a Wigwam.

Doing route 66? Then this place should be on your 'to do' list quite frankly. No, it's not a 5 star luxury resort by any means and is admittedly a little tired looking (but perfectly clean etc), but if you have an inner 8 year old or just love vintage\retro places you're in for a treat. The rooms are small,... More

I think you could make a case for rating The Wigwam Motel anywhere between "terrible" and "excellent." I'm splitting the difference and calling it "average." The accommodations are old and very basic, with few creature comforts, so some might find it "terrible." Still this is an icon of Route 66 and a real must-experience piece of Americana, so it could... More

This is a vintage Route 66 gem! Nothing fancy, but very comfortable and beyond unique! If you spend the night in a wigwam, your life will be forever changed for the better...kind of the same way that a fresh can of Play Dough or the simple brilliance of a Slinky made you a better person.
