This isn't the Ritz. Those four stars are because it's just downright cool. The room was CLEAN, the beds were both (very surprisingly) comfortable. If you're looking for something beyond those, this may not be the place for you. (The TV is small and it took us about 10 minutes to get the cable box to work.) All that said,... More

We have marveled at this iconic Route 66 motel when passing through Holbrook, and finally got a chance to stay in a wigwam. Very fun, and great to think of earlier Route 66 travelers who stayed here years ago as they traveled across the country. Our wigwam with one queen bed, was quite roomy. Very clean, quiet, and charming. The... More

This establishment fails to tell you that they only have office hours from 4-9 daily, and do not even tell you this over the phone or their website. I called about 8 times before someone even picked up. I made a reservation, which they took my card number for, and the next we realized we were going to make it... More

Certainly not posh by any means, but that's not why you stay here. An iconic reminder of what Route 66 used to be. Rooms were clean, owners were pleasant, space heater didn't quite cut it on a chilly night (and the bathroom was cold), but it was worth it as a photo opportunity and to cross "sleeping in a wigwam"... Gave it an average rating simply based on the fact that this is an iconic motel along the original Route 66. Owners have vintage cars (some basic wrecks) sitting outside the concrete wigmans. Did not stay here or get to see the inside, but I don't think I would want to make this anymore than a photo opportunity.

Cozy quarters, friendly staff and a really good night sleep. The main office was undergoing improvements during my visit and they had gathered quite a collection of history. It would be wise to invest in a wigwam or two, the wiring was not grounded. The Wigwam is a good base for exploring the area and you can't beat good ole... More

While traveling portions of old Route 66, there are a few places that are a must stop. This is one of them. Just to walk through and look at the units and old cars parked in front of them felt great. This is a great photo opp.

The Wigwam hotel is really cool. A great and fun experience for our family. We stayed in #3 and our friends were in #1. They are much more spacious than you would think. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very soft. If you go into it knowing that it's more for the "experience" than "comfort" then you... More

Wigwam hotel rooms ! What could be better? Nice staff, vintage cars parked in front of each room. Not a 5 star place but a great and memorable experience for all! You can always stay in an upscale place but don't miss this opportunity! It does have a cozy room with comfortable beds and furnished in late 1950'-1960's style.

As we were traveling to Holbrook, I checked out TripAdvisor for places to stay. I fell in love with the Wigwam Motel immediately. Most people had given good reviews and we had decided to stay in only old hotels and motels on our "Route 66" trip. I was surprised that we could make reservations and book the room so late--it...
