This property should be called the GASTLY INN. We had a three week holiday in America where we stayed in up market B&B’s. With the exception of the Gas Light Inn all were good and some were fantastic. (See my write up of the Queen Liz in Tucson and the Hacienda Corona in Nogales) The Gas Light was an unmitigated... more

We actually live in Phoenix (a short 30 minute drive from the Glendale Gaslight inn), so we were surprised & happy to find this little gem so close to home. We went for our 4th anniversary and ordered the anniversary package w/our room (which was really nice). The inn has lots of fabulous rooms--the second floor ones are especially nice.... more

We recently spent a Friday & Saturday night at the Glendale Gaslight Inn. This is a place trying to be several things at once, some more successfully than others. The downstairs area on the street side is a mixed offering of gourmet coffee, lunchtime sandwiches, and Dreyer’s ice cream (apparently recently added). This section opens into a long “living room”... more

Stayed in the Gaslight Suite for a Saturday girls night. We loved this hotel; great bed, sheets, towels and huge room(s). It was absolutely one of the cleanest places I have stayed. The staff was friendly and the continental breakfast was great. Charming roof deck. Jazz in the lounge on Sat. evening was fun and crowded with people just enjoying.... more

First impressions are important. Our first impression of the Gaslight Inn was not overly positive. First, the area. Glendale, AZ appears to have been working on revitalizing the downtown area for the past 15 years. It appears to still be a work in progress. True, there are several antique stores, gift stores in the area. However, there are also several... more

There seems to be a dearth of B&B’s and out of the ordinary places to stay in Phoenix. The Gaslight Inn was one we found. It was a fairly good experience, but not exceptional. This appears to be a vintage hotel building that has been renovated. Our room was comfortable, though ordinary except that it had fairly nice antique furnishings. Jazz... more

I have stayed a some very overpriced, less than terrific places in the Phoenix area. Never again...the Inn is very reasonably priced and great digs. The owners have done a fine restoration job, housekeeping is immaculate, and staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was yummy, too. more

We stayed here for the 2008 Fiesta bowl and had a wonderful time. The New Years Eve Gala (Optional) was a little spendy, but the food was fantastic and the Jazz Band featuring Nicholas Beard out of the Bay Area was really cool, they played from 8AM until about 1 AM, so in the end it was definitely worth it.... more

Great jazz bar with excellent music. B and B captures the flavor of old Arizona and is located in the Glendal Historic District which has interesting shops and restaurants. The rooms are well decorated and have comfortable beds. It is a nice alternative to the chain hotel feel. We enjoyed our stay and the owners are very nice. more
