We were in Duncan for one night passing through on way to Phoenix. Deborah and Clayton were wonderful hosts! Very cozy B&B/Hotel with many paintings, artifacts, collectibles and antiques from the west. Great library in parlor with a cozy fireplace. Super quiet and the bed room was terrific. Bedroom is large and spacious with frame antique bed, tables and too... More

Duncan, Arizona is not going to be at the top of the list of destinations for most people. There's not much to do, no great restaurants and nothing in the way of shopping. But if you want a place to relax, read, do some walking and see a place that is outside the mainstream you will enjoy Duncan. We (my... More

Deborah has done a wonderful job of bringing this little gem of a hotel back to life. We stayed for two nights and slept like babies each night. Yes, the train does go by and you can hear it but it's the gentle rocking that we loved! The breakfasts with fresh eggs and veggies from the garden were perfect and... More

I will continue the 5-star parade for the Simpson Hotel. Simply put, if you are staying in Duncan, this IS the place to stay. The historic hotel has been beautifully appointed by owner Deborah. I stayed in the Library Room and the bed was wonderful, the bathroom was beautiful with a clawfoot tub, and the room’s décor was historic and... More

I had a great time at the Simpson. The owners were warm, welcoming people. The room I stayed in (The Library) was lovely. It oozed charm! There were no problems to speak of. Everything was clean and available. WiFi works well...it was quite nice!

Visited in April with my mom (who grew up in Duncan in the 1930's and 40's) and my two sisters. Debra and Clayton were wonderful hosts -friendly, accommodating, knowledgable about the area and they served us delicious breakfasts. Our rooms were very comfortable. Do be prepared for the freight train that seems to come through about twice a night. Although it... More

We travel from northern NM to Tucson each year for the Tour de Tucson and I was looking for variety this year in terms of a place to stay at along the way. This is a jog up from I-10, but a pleasant diversion that did not add much to the trip. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly, our room... More

We are cycling through the area and had a wonderful rest and stay at the Simpson Hotel. The beds were comfortable, the proprietor very welcoming, warm and accommodating, and the goat in the grounds was charming. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone and are planning a return trip soon.

We spend two nights in the Old Library Room and it was wonderful. We almost didn't stay there because Google Earth hasn't updated their images since 2006 and shows The Simpson before the renovation. So don't rely on Google's images! This hotel has been lovingly and charmingly restored and includes beautiful original artworks and antiques. Each morning we had a... More
