I was recently in Cottonwood attending an event at the Mago Resort which was sold out of rooms. I fell in love with this place because of its unique, old history and homey characteristics. Karen, the proprietor, was so accommodating. The kitchenettes were so helpful to save money on food and well stocked with pots, dishes, flatware, containers to go... more

We were a little wary of "historic" hotels after our dreary room at the Monte Vista in Flagstaff recently. But we were delighted at our lovely suite in downtown historic Cottonwood (our favorite part of this high desert town south of Sedona) at the Cottonwood Hotel. It's listed under Specialty hotels, I guess, because of their extended stay policy and,... more

I was extremely satisfied with my stay. The location was convenient to shops , and restaurants downtown. It is also close to many different hiking trails. The service and care provided were tremendous. Karen had information and personal knowledge of the area and its attractions. She took great care to meet my needs. more

My husband and I stayed in the Cottonwood Hotel for our 15 year anniversary. We loved the fact that it was a central location for Jerome, Page Springs, and Sedona. We were up there from Chandler visiting the wineries--which were all fantastic. Karen, the owner of the hotel, was super informative on things to do in the surrounding areas, where... more

I Planned this trip for the pupose of going to Sedona but got so much more by staying in Cottonwood. From this location you have an easy 15-20 minute drive to Sedona as well as historic Jerome. The beauty of staying outside the main attractions are that you have a greater geographic perspective and appreciation of this area. It's an... more

The Cottonwood Hotel is situated perfectly in a small historic downtown area that is less than 20 minutes to Sedona and even closer to Jerome and the surrounding area. The hotel is historic, yet well maintained with hardwood floors and rooms stocked with all amenities that you need during your stay. By staying here you get a true sense of... more

A beautiful hidden gem with a generous host devoted to the care and preservation of this humble historic hotel. We arrived late on a saturday night, exhausted, drained and unsure of where we would sleep for the night. Locating this lovely hotel circa 1922 online via our cell phones, we did travel up and down the block a couple of... more

We had a wonderful time during our stay at Cottonwood Hotel. The owner was very welcoming and went out of her way to meet us there upon check-in, stocked our room with the requested coffee and condiments and provided us with brochures and coupons for the area. She was very personable and made our stay that much more enjoyable. We... more
