Our stay was quite enjoyable. Karen who owns and operates the hotel shared a great amount of knowledge regarding the shops in the area. Her recommendations to my husband and I were spot on. The room was cozy, cool, and comfortable. She made sure to tell us she uses all natural hypoallergenic products. The bed was a little hard for... More

Happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for taking the time to write us a nice review. I was sorry to hear that our new mattress in studio suite #7 (the Grande Hotel Collection Posture Support 11-inch Queen-size Trizone Memory Foam Mattress) was too hard for you, as most guests love them and even want to... My wife and I stayed here over the 4th of July weekend and had an amazing experience. This hotel is right in the middle of the downtown area and walking distance to 4 wineries and amazing restaurants. Karen, the owner/operator was awesome at give us a good lay of the land upon our arrival. We stayed in the constellation room... More

We try to go the extra measure with comfort and being hypo-allergenic, with our new Grande Hotel Supreme memory foam tri-zone mattress, organic bamboo bedding and products that we use. We stayed in the Wine Room and were delighted at the spaciousness of the room and the decor. Karen greeted us warmly, gave us an insight on some areas to visit, eat, drink, directions and a little history. This is one of the cleanest and most quiet hotels we've ever stayed at. We are definitely returning and recommend this historic... More

Thank you for acknowledging the cleanliness of our rooms. We take pride in presentation. Our Deluxe Wine Room was originally (during the hotel's heyday) two separate small hotel rooms. The rooms were combined years ago to make for a roomier sized and more comfortable unit. Even though this is still our 2nd smallest room, it is a favorite with many... More

This was a wonderful place right in the middle of historic Cottonwood-walk to everything. We stayed in the Mae West room. Great bedroom, little sitting area and a clawfoot tub! There is a balcony at the front of the hotel overlooking the town. Perfect place for your morning coffee Karen told us all about the town and where to go.... More

The Mae West deluxe room is always a favorite among guests, even when John Wayne romanced here back in 1946, as he always requested the room with the tub. Nothing like an original clawfoot tub, and one that the Duke actually soaked his tush in! Thanks for taking the time to write a great review! :) More

We choose this hotel because of all the great reviews and we're not disappointed. Check in was easy. We ended up extending our stay one more night for a total of 3 nights. The first two nights we stayed in a room with two queen beds. The room was nice and bathroom was awesome. The only word of warning is... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a nice review, but I think this review was meant for someone else. At this time we do not have any rooms with two queen beds, and the only unit that we have two beds, has a king and queen in separate bedrooms, as it is our largest unit which is a... More

Perfect location to walk to all the shops and wine tasting rooms in downtown Cottonwood. There is a bar across the street, but we never heard any noise, even with the window open. We stayed in the "Wine" room. The room and common areas are restored and very clean. I also appreciated the interior decoration. Bed was super comfy and... More

From the moment we arrived for our weekend romantic getaway, it was charming. Karen was delightful and bubbly as she showed us our room, and gave us insights into the hotel's history and personality. We stayed in the Mae West room, a lovely room with a separate bedroom with a bed that is quite delightful, a kitchenette with great amenities... More

Ahh yes... Our Mae West Suite is popular with the ladies and even the guys wanting to soak in the same clawfoot tub that John Wayne occasionally soaked in when he romanced here during his 1946 filming of 'Angel & the Badman!" This is also our most selected suite for the perfect 'Romantic Get-Away!' More

We had just driven past the Best Western, and we wanted to consider all options. Google showed that the Cottonwood hotel had the best reviews, so my girlfriend and I called from the road and Karen (the owner of the hotel) answered and was very open and communicative. Loved Karen's hospitality at the Cottonwood Hotel in historic Old Town Cottonwood. Had plenty of room in a downstairs suite with all the kitchen amenities. It is centrally located right by several great restaurants and walking trails. We will definitely be coming back (and they are dog friendly too)!

Our Vacation Suite #7 'the Good Life' is available for those traveling with dogs. It is a well-appointed open studio with a kitchen. The modern split bathroom may work better for some, as it is not as small as the historic bathrooms in the original upstairs hotel/inn. I am happy to hear that these guests enjoyed their stay and took... More
