We took a ride to see the town of Chloride and decided we wanted to spent the night. What a great experience to stay in this motel. No frills like tv or internet but great history. Loved the town and the motel. Also the restaurant next to it was very good. Great staff!! And the people that own the place... More

Just left here after a trip with my daughter down route 66, with a detour to Chloride. We loved the town..just quirky enough to be fun. Sheps Miners Inn and Yesterdays and the Miners Market made our day. We really enjoyed our time there this is off the beaten path but, worth the effort to get there. The room was... More

Sheps Miner's Inn is just that. . . a place where the silver miners stayed over 100 years ago. We've stayed there 3 times in the past 7 years and enjoyed the experience very much. This is the kind of place wealthy people ask their assistants to find because they want to sleep in a room where cowboys/miners actually rested... More

we spent one night here - as an adventure. We wanted to stay in a "real" ghosttown. Shep's Miners Inn is quirky and simple. And cheap. It is definitely not a luxury motel room, but it has everything you need and most importantly, it has atmosphere. We arrived in the late afternoon and had dinner at the restaurant. Good homely... The is the only motel in town, so it was nice to find it was a good one. We stayed one night only, and the rooms were comfortable and quirky, with art on the walls by Tony Mafia. No aircon, though, so it got a bit on the warm side. Crystal, the manager, explained this when we arrived and ensured... More

The Inn/Motel isolation would be a good average, however it is very good considering the bargain price and the availability of a good restaurant (considering remote location) next door. If you want a quite and remote stop-over this is a terrific choice. The town itself is good but you do not need too long to look around

Very short stay. Arrived late at night, left the next day before noon. Overall OK- experience. However, a few downsides: the gas-heating device seemed a little dated. Also the carpet could have been renewed. However, we felt very welcome and the staff at Yesterdays (the restaurant/breakfastplace) was extremely helpful, and all of this made up for the inconveniences of the... More

We were looking for a hotel "off the beaten path", and Shep's Miners Inn certainly fit the bill. First of all, you can't beat the price; we paid about $60. The room, or should I say ROOMS were huge, almost the size of my apartment! There were two bedrooms plus a living room with a daybed, so the three of... More

On the route between the Grand Canyon and Death Valley, we visited and stayed in Chloride, Arizona, a historic mining town which is also a semi ghost town. Although there is nothing to do here apart from visit the ghost town village, staying here was a great experience and very unexpected! We stayed at Sheps Miners Inn, the only accommodation... More
