This is the closest hotel to the Petrified Forest National Park other than that there would be no other reason to stay here. I would recommend staying in either Holbrook, AZ or Gallup, NM. The hotel it self is right off the freeway convenient but noisy. The check in went well and the evening front desk clerk was pleasant but... More

This place is a long way from nowhere so it might be exactly what you're looking for when you run out of steam. It is clean and comfortable, although the toilet/bathtub room was tiny (sort of Motel 6 size) and some things had been removed from the walls, leaving holes that hadn't been patched. It has satellite TV and a... More

Single hotel on highway in the middle of nowhere. Was a great stop to take a bit of time off our travel the next day to Monument Valley. Priced ok. Was what we expected and was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Bit noisy but aircon allows good sleep. Room was clean and of a good size.

water filthy door opened by a man whilst we were asleep claiming to be maintenance. Good job we had blocked the door up with suitcases. Turned out to be someone in reception. still not a good idea for a woman to stay there on her own. so beware.

We stayed here prior to visiting the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. The hotel was old. The rooms were clean. Was not a bad place to stay. The two downers were the highway noise and the light that came through the side of the curtains making our room not – so – dark at night.

Mrtonothorns, Thank you so much for staying at our establishment this past month! We hope that your time at the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest was breathtaking and awe-inspiring. We’re so sorry about the bother of the noise and the light. We are doing our best to find solutions to the light and noise pollution in the rooms. We hope... More
