Huge billboards (several of them) on the way here displayed "newly remodeled with fresh HOT breakfast" YEAH RIGHT: scrambled eggs that tasted like week old grease and thats it. We had seen this motel on a number of trips through the area and decided to try it out on our visit to the nearby Painted Desert/Petrified Forest National Park. Bear in mind that our room charge was only $55, including taxes and fees, so this can be regarded as a fairly cheap place to stay in today's market. Good... More

Ok, I mistakenly thought that sleeping in my car at a truck stop in the winter on the road between Flagstaff and Albuquerque was a good idea. I'm a Californian, what do I know about freezing weather? The bed was comfortable, but not much else good to say. The room was not properly checked and found not ready (toilet seat up, both trash cans in the bath, etc.) Worse was that it was poorly cleaned.
