4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed here with our 2 teenage sons over spring break. We reserved a 3 bedroom casita. It was well decorated, had a large patio with plenty of comfortable furniture, and outdoor heaters to stave off any chill. The kitchen was well appointed-- probably the best I've seen in a rental. There were plenty of pots, pans, utensils, etc for... More

Absolutely amazing grounds, consisting mostly of groups of "casitas" spread over a vast acreage of beautiful, boulder-strewn desert. At night rock formations are lit to spectacular effect. Rooms are excellent (for more of the desert experience go for a casita near the edge of the property). Food good, but not amazing, restaurant service only fair, especially at lodge. If they... More

We have been going to the Boulders for about 30 years and traditionally this has been a great place to stay. My husband checked in abot 2:00 pm and he called to say this was not the house what we rented. The reservation said a desert view. This house had a view of two homes. They told my husband they... View of the room was not as suggested in the booking. The view was obstructed by bushes and there was a musty odor in the room. The staff was rude and argumentative. You will find better hotels that are less expensive with a better quality.

Upon arrival we were assigned a room which we were advised was not ready. When we asked for a confirmation that this room did in fact have our requested boulders view we received no answer other than hearing the front desk clerk whisper sotto voce the room number via phone to housekeeping. We were told we would be notified when... More

My family of 5 spent two nights at The Boulders recently and it is truly in a breathtaking location and the grounds are beautiful. The staff is attentive - especially the crew who drive you around in golf carts. The rooms are large and nice - not new but in lovely casitas and ours had a patio. The pool was... More

We won a trip to The Boulders, so otherwise probably would not have chosen to stay there, but we were thrilled with the experience. Our casita was roomy and comfortable, and the grounds are beautiful. Most impressive, though, is the service - from the reception staff to the concierge to the valets to the pro shop - everyone was super... More

After checking in, I returned to my room two hours later to find it full of bees buzzing around the room. At least 150 or more - quite a swarm. I had just unpacked everything and was told to pack everything back up and I was being moved. I was also told that I would hear from the manager. During... More

Weather is perfect March-May. Grounds are immaculate. Rooms are spread out in casitas so very quiet and relaxing. Our room had a view of the golf course from the balcony. We can not wait to come again soon. Tennis courts, golf course, joggin path, and hiking all are available on site.

The good: - The location was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the chuckwalla lizards and gambel's quail. - The spa pool was nice -- easy to find a chair. The bad: - The restaurant (Palo Verde) was closed 2 of the 3 nights and one lunch while we were there. This struck us as odd as we... More
