This is the 4th place we have stayed this trip and the first I felt I should review. If you leave the Grand Canyon by the East Entrance, make this your next nights place to stay, that gives you time to see everything on 64-Desert View Road as you leave, it would also work the other way round. The shop... More

After a great-but-long-and-tiring day at the Grand Canyon, we found a welcome surprise at the historic Cameron Trading Post and Lodge. The van filled with our family, we enjoyed driving down 64 with spectacular views and listening to KGHR 91.3 Navajo radio as the sky changed colors and the sunlight dimmed. What we didn't enjoy once reaching 89 is the... More

Dropped by on the way back from a weekend in the Grand Canyon. Heaps of signs on the highway advertising it so we decided to drop in as it was lunchtime. Decor was very interesting - and we would like to think authentic. Food quality was pretty average and the wait staff left a lot to be desired. Advertising was... More

It was hard to believe that there was a hotel at a trading place... but indeed there is one, and it was a very interesting and enjoyable environment. Our room was fine, had a Southwest decor, comfortable beds, and everything was clean, and we ended up in a very private area of the hotel where we could drive our car... More

Although I'd called in advance specifically to ask about whether the rooms had king-size beds, and then booked a room with a king bed, we were told upon check-in that "all the king rooms are being renovated so we put you in a room with two queen beds." Not good...especially as we were also told that they were graciously "not... More

Know that feeling when you check into a hotel and open your door in that moment of anticipation? Typically its: meh, ugh, or wow. This one was a wow for me! The staff were friendly, and it's obvious a lot of care is taken to keep this hotel in good shape. The dining room is even more stunning than the... More

The hotel is about what you'd expect based on it's location and it's web site. They are the only hotel in Cameron so they don't need to bother with the normal courtesies which other places have to deal with, like: Answering emails or telling you you've been bounced into an inferior room. So 2 stars for service. That said the... More

I stayed here a week while volunteering in Tuba City. The rooms were quiet and clean. My room looked out on the Little Colorado River. The trading post store had something for everyone and the restaurant had a varied and good menu. The food was more than ample and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

This lodge/trading post is outside the east entrance to Grand Canyon National Park, so it is convenient for a visit to the park. Our room had a view of the Colorado River that was wonderful. The room was large and nicely decorated in vintage Southwest style. It was very clean and quiet. The price was very reasonable for lodging near... More

We really didn't know what to expect when we arrived but our room was large and outdated but appeared to be clean. There wasn't a fridge, which would have been helpful. The TV was very old and the picture was very poor quality and difficult to watch. We had two queen size beds that were comfortable but we only needed... More
