The gift shop was huge. There are LOTS of unique items for everyone. The restaurant food was good. We got 2 rooms, 209 and 210. They had southwest decor, with the furniture all hand made and sturdy. The furniture included a desk with chair, a table with 2 more chairs, 4 very unique lamps. The 2 beds (in each room)... More

My husband and I were getting a week away in Vegas. Long story short we found ourselves from getting pampered to death this week to jumping up getting a rental car from the airport in TX on a Sunday afternoon to a beautiful leasurely drive enjoying I-40, Route 66, Blue Hole, Four Corners, Grand Canyon in the morning.. We happened... More

you would never guess as you fill your tank. huge gift shop, large art gallery, not a bad restaurant and a really decent motel. all top rate. staff were attentive. prices not cheap cheap but being so close to park you could easily pay double and get less. cant say enough. also we were there early in the early season.

Our room was very nice, but had a rather stale, old smell. We were glad to see we had a balcony overlooking the canyon! The balcony walk that led down to the vending and parking lot overlooked the beautiful gardens. Too bad we were too early for the garden fountains to be turned on. The beds were comfortable for my... This motel room was a nice decor with the Native American motif. The bed was a little hard for me. No breakfast though we did go over to the restaurant and it was delicious. No hot tub nor pool. Internet was included. Ask for a top level room as the noise from the room above was evident. Also available for... More

We booked this room from information in Triple A Tourbook. Phone reservation was very speedy, our check-n upon arrival was efficient. We were thinking we might have made a mistake when we drove in the parking lot and hadn't seen the lodging buildings. What a pleasant surprise to have a room with a balcony overlooking the gorge and bridge behind... More

This is an old fashioned Trading Post that has been built up over time to include a very nice motel and a good restaurant. The look of the place reminds me of some of the nicer lodges in the big National Parks, exposed wooden beams and lots of stone work. There is a nice homey courtyard for group picnics or... More

Cameron Trading Post was the perfect place for us to stay on our way to the Grand Canyon. If you're planning to enter or exit the Grand Canyon via the Desert View drive (east entrance), Cameron Trading Post is a great place to stay either on your way in or on your way out. It's surprisingly reasonable, exceptionally clean, and... More

Cameron Trading Post is actually not the only hotel within miles, there are one or two near-by in the Navaho Reservation, on route 160 in Tuba City... The Trading Post is a destination of and in itself. I had half-expected the usual gift shop of junk..but it is extensive and fascinating and most of it is high quality..I did not... More

I had made a reservation online where I could choose Garden View or Canyon View + even choose the room number/floor I wanted. I chose Canyon View on the third floor and when I got there they said my room was under maintenance and gave me Garden View. I refused the room (I reserved way back in September of the... More
