I love the way this place looks, both on the postcards and in person. The site is smallish, I think fewer than a dozen trailers, and very quiet. Across the street is the Jr High School, which is only noisy between 3 and 4, and to the north is the cemetery. I liked being close to the cemetery because it's... More

My boyfriend and I visited the Shady Dell in 2010, and to this day we still get so excited when we talk about it. We stayed in the Tiki Bus. It was awesome. It was very true to the pictures I found on their website. The Tiki Bar is so cute. It was clean. It's not a 5-star hotel with... More

Despite arriving in the middle of tropical storm Odile, in fact it rained for the whole 24 hours we were in Bisbee, the Shady Dell was awesome. So much had gone into filling our airstream with period accessories and the 50's music on the radio just made the atmosphere. Superb idea and a great alternative to a night in another... More

Their website refund/cancellation policy versus their reservation confirmation email may confuse you. I tried contacting them via email on their website, and phone calls, left voicemails...Asking to be contacted to cancel my reservation and gave them my name/number and reservation date (Oct 12th). After reading their online policy, I was under the impression they needed to be informed at least... More

We spent one night here and enjoyed the experience of staying in these old trailers, ours was 1957, our friends 1959, they were kitted out with original memorabillea and look pretty genuine. Bisbee is a neat town to visit. We had 2 gripes about the trailer park, there was no toilet paper provided with one trailer and we did not... More

what an amazing little place sadly we only got to spend one night here would loved to have stayed a lot longer. Its so cool when you arrive there is a picture on the door of your trailer with your name above it explaining how to get in side and then there is a lovely welcome pack in your RV... More

The Shady Dell is a charming alternative to “normal” lodging and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something different! My husband and I were traveling through Arizona and decided to book a night in the 1957 El Ray camper. It was everything we expected from the website only cozier. The camper was period correct, clean, and comfortable. We... More

I fell in love with Bisbee and the Shady Dell. The care and detailed attention put into decorating the trailer (in my case, the yacht) were beyond my wildest expectations and I had a blast looking through the nautical themes games, books, cruise menus from the 1940s, and the amazing and entertaining collection of records (Rusty Warren was a blast!).... A great experience! I stayed in #3, a 1951 Airstream that's been impeccably maintained. It was spotless and super-cute,and while trudging to the community bathroom wasn't so fun, I knew about it going in- if you'll be bothered by that, choose a trailer that includes a toilet/shower. Bisbee is a quirky place, so go full-on quirky and stay at the... More

We stayed just the one niught in a 1951 "Royal Mansion" trailer. Built by Spartan, this is 35 ft long, weighs nearly 3 tons, and cost $4,750 new. We watched Lucille Ball (and Desi) in "The long, long trailer" on a b&w TV; listened to to 50s music on a real old radio; brewed coffe in q 50 year old... More
