Same price as the Copper Queen Hotel, except no security (the combination kn the main gate does not work), no heat (if you exclude a tiny space heater that barely warmed our hands), no service, view on the graveyard, a toilet room so small we had to leave the door open to sit down, a stove that we were not... We (2 couples) came across the Shady Dell while deciding on a place to stay in Bisbee. We thought it looked like a fun place and were happy that they had two available trailers left to reserve. We were in the 1950 Spartanette and our friends were in the 1959 Boles Aero. They were both right out of the 50's... More

We stayed in unit 9, a 1957 airstream. If you are ok with fifties style amenities, you'll enjoy a step into the past. As other reviewers noted, we did not see the manager. There was only a quarter roll of TP, when we arrived with no extra rolls. Had to "steal" some from communal bathroom, since hotel didn't return phone... More

We stayed two nights in #5, one of the larger trailers with a good sized outdoor seating area facing the graveyard. It was quite comfortable although the bed was a bit too soft. Enjoyed watching old movies, especially The Long, Long Trailer starring Lucy and Desi. As others have said, it would have been nice to be greeted by the... More

This motel is just as it looks when you really get there. Getting there is a bit tricky as our iPhone Maps app took us the wrong way, but just a few yards from the actual entrance. Wander around the property a bit, we found the other "campers" very nice. Our trailer, one of the Royales, was very fun. Not... More

Really fun. Everything is period correct (not withstanding the DVD player), but movie choices were right. Record player, reading material, radio (only plays one fifties station, commercials and all) complete the experience. Very quiet park. The units are a little shopworn but 60 years will do that. It seems that some don't know how a few of the old mechanisms... More

we recently stayed in the 16 ft El Rey trailer in Bisbee. It was a blast! the radio played news and music from the late 40's to 50's. Down side was the ratty blanket (from 1957 I am sure), cups/glasses weren't really clean and the cool coffee pot fit the era and could have stood a good cleaning. Towels wer... More

First, I will say that this will not be for everybody but if you want peace and quiet, you'll get it here. We stayed for two nights in the 1947 "Tiki" bus. We had two beds, two tiki chairs and a bench seat in the bus so plenty of seating available. More importantly it had a turntable and a fair... More

Spent a night in a vintage Airstream camper...enjoyed a comfortable bed in a great atmosphere! Easy to find, great clean rest rooms, and a quiet night...just what I wanted. Couldn't use the stove, but with the age of the camper, it made sense. Fun alternative to a hotel.

We celebrated our 20th anniversary and observed Memorial Day with a quiet stay at teh Shady Dell. First we stayed in the 1957 Boles Aero complete with full bath and wonderfully preserved in it's original 50's decor. We danced to old records and watched 50's movies on the black and white TV. Then we "cruised" aboard the 1947 Chris Craft... More
