Simply the best. Safe, funky, clean, off-beat, fun, just wonderful. The staff is great, the trailers are super-hip...I stayed in Homemade. There's a heated blanket, cookies, coffee pot... Even the bathroom is cool. Though it is shared (for some of the rv's) there was never anyone else in the restroom when I was. I traveled to a number of cities... more

Wonderful specimens of recreation vehicles turned hotel rooms. Terrific amenities. Groovy diner. Close to delightful downtown Bisbee. more

Yeah you read that right. Inbetween the trailers they have the green astroturf carpet, we took full advantage of the record player and slow danced outside. It's a good thing we only stayed one night, we would've worn out the sam cooke 45. We stayed in the Airstream (with it's wedding theme). My friend's wedding was actually in the park... more

The Shady Dell is truly an experience. The concept is brilliant and the conscious coordination of decor and time period was very impressive. It was, for lack of a better term, just so cool! The beds weren't the most comfortable and the bathroom situation isn't very convenient, but for a short stay it is well worth the sacrifice of some... more

Staying at the Shady Dell is fantastic! The trailers are decorated period-appropriate and filled with music (broadcast to every radio in the park or by record player). The food at Dot's Diner was excellent and filling. Dot's serves retro soda pops in glass bottles (souvenir!) Shady Dell is just a stroll from Bisbee's Evergreen Cemetery, historic Lowell School and downtown... more

My girlfriend and I stayed two night at the Shady Dell in May of 09 during our AZ road trip and it could not of been more fun. Th staff was extremely nice and helpful as could be. We spent one night in the Spartanette and another in the Tiki Bus. The trailers were in amazing condition and every single... more

Stayed in the Shady Dell RV Park with my friend of 22 years. We decided to stay in the Spartenette because some of the furninshings reminded her of her childhood. The traler was spotless..and we enjoyed exploring all the nostalgic nooks and crannies the trailer had to offer. We listened to Glenn Miller on our record player and sat on... more

We were so excited at the prospect of staying in an Airstream (although the 1957 El Rey trailer we booked isn't an Airstream, but it's a rarer lookalike) and it all lived up to our expectations. The whole trailer park pays homage to the 1950s, from the trailers to the on-site diner to the owner, Jennifer's, stylish attire. Our trailer... more

Shady Dell is one of the most delightfully odd places I have ever come across. Its a trailer park. Yes, a trailer park, unlike any trailer park I have ever seen. I stayed in a 1957 El Ray. The whole park is full of these neat vintage, fully restored trailers from the 1950's. They are restored perfectly, down to every... more

We are 50 somethings and it all seemed a little deja vu to be staying in such a genuinely nostalgic environment. Hosts were courteous, efficient and friendly and it is obvious they take pride in the establishment. We hope for a return visit! Loved the music playing thru the park, in the trailers and every touch reflecting the 50's era.... more
