I thought my wife and I could share and old timey "Motor Ct." experience.. Unfortunately the experience was bad. Too many problems to list here.. No outlet in the Bath.. no Hair dryer.. They did have free WiFi ").. However.. Let me just say .. La Cucarachas!

I've just returned from a holiday in southern Arizona. The Sahara Motel is a unique find wherein I was lucky to receive lodging for one night. Full bookings meant I had to move elsewhere but it was worth it. A wooden screen door let in the evening breeze and pleasant sounds. Microwave, mini-fridge, outstanding shower, comfy bed, big screen tv... More

The Sahara Motel is a very pleasant "home away from home" on the outskirts of Benson. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the Owner, a wonderfully pleasant elderly lady who has an ability to make all of her guests feel right at home. Although the Sahara is an older motel, the rooms are surprisingly large with tons of amenities. Many... More

We ran into this tiny little motel in a late evening, the elderly lady who runs the motel is ever so friendly and helpful. The room is surprisingly old fashioned yet pleasant, clean & comfortable. When I found out that there wasn't a hairdyer in the room, the elderly lady lent me her own hairdryer with no hesitation. There is... More

We stayed here after spending the day in Tombstone and Bisbee. It's just south of Benson and made a nice change from the chain hotels. We had a big room with a kitchen ($50) so drove to the Safeway for food instead of trying to find a restaurant in Benson in the dark. The room was clean, the shower wasn't... More

We stayed here for two nights while visiting my folks and were super comfortable. The room was clean, the A/C worked great, the beds were comfortable, and it was a quiet location. My 4-year-old daughter especially loved it, and when we moved to another inn for the use of a swimming pool, she wanted to go back! The kitchenette was... More

What a wonderful place, kind of like a little piece of home. The room was clean and had a great 50s kitchenette. Very cool place, old timey, friendly and just a great feel to it. If you like big box hotels don't come here but if you like homey, friendly places this is the place for you.

I have been past the Sahara Motel many times on trips through southern Arizona so I decided to try it. I was on a motorcycle and travelling solo. I spoke with Ms. Nancy and was told I would be expected. My room was small, clean and very adequate, even including a small kitchenette. It is a place that caters to... More

When we arrived at the Sahara Motel in the evening without a reservation, the owner was friendly and accommodating. She even chatted with us a bit the next morning about the history of the town, and gave us some recommendations for breakfast (the country club dining room down the road was excellent and surprisingly cheap!) The motel itself is very... More
