Last night I stayed at The Stikine Inn in Wrangell, Alaska. My room was on the second floor and offered a beautiful view of the ocean and dock. The sunset was stunning. I found out this morning that the wind was howling but I didn't hear a thing. Went right to sleep in a comfortable bed. The room was clean,... More

Stikine Inn is a comfortable place to stay. Located close to everything primarily at the docks where all the jet boats leave for Stikine River and Anan Bear Observatory. They where very helpful with a change in rooms (needed tow beds) even with a pretty full hotel. Resturant and bar located on first floor. Bartender (owner) pours a great drink... More

Perfect location right on the water with a delicious restaurant. The servings are huge. The rooms are dated perhaps with a recent facelift sill with some room for upgrades such as solid core doors new locking mechanisms soundproofing. Basically it's and old building. Great coffee bar in the lobby.

We stayed here for three nights on a visit to Wrangell to view bears at Anan Creek and do some hiking (the boardwalk trail to the High Country Shelter is great). The location here can't be beat, it's close to the ferry terminal (maybe 5 minutes walk) and to the (small) downtown, with truly astonishing views over the ocean at... More

The people in Wrangell are quite nice and the Stikine Inn is the only real hotel in the area. It is clean, a little pricey for what you get, but there aren't a lot of choices. The weather was beautiful when I was there and the rooms were quite hot at night. Thankfully they had screens on the windows so... More

When you go to a remote area in Alaska, you have to keep an open mind. Picturesque location, easy access to Leconte Glacier, AnnAnn bear observatory, easy hiking, makes up for anything lacking. At Stikine, staff is helpful, manager is warm and chatty and foods okay. Rooms are also clean and user friendly with a nice view of the Stikine... More

Stikine Inn was very welcoming after being on the M/V Columbia for three days, to stay in a lovely hotel bed at the Stikine Inn on the Waterfront in Wrangell, a five minute walk from the ferry terminal. Clean, large, quite room with a town/mountain view on the first floor. Two queen size beds, en-suite bathroom tv, fridge ,microwave and... More

My wife and I spent three wonderful days at this hotel. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The property itself, while older, is very well kept and clean. As others have noted it is and easy walk from the Alaska Marine Highway ferry, as well as to/from exploring adventures by boat! The restaurant at the hotel is remarkably good.... More

The Stikine Inn is a great place to stay in Wrangall. It is an easy walk from the ferry. And it is along the water and has a great restaurant too. We spent two nights at the Inn and had a great stay. Our room had two queen beds, a microwave and refrigerator. We went to the grocery store for... More

Stayed 3 nights. Room was very clean, quiet, and well furnished. A very nice place to stay right on the waterfront. It was a great place to stay. We liked it because Wrangell is quiet and it is close to wildlife and scenic natural areas in the Tongass National Forest. Place has a friendly, small feel.
