While we didn't like this place as much as other B&Bs we stayed at, it certainly served its purpose of a place to sleep, shower, and have breakfast. Hosts were fun to talk to. more

I just spent 4 days in Willow at the Alaskan Host B&B with my wife and two sons (8 and 11.) We had a great time thanks in large part to the hospitality of Jim and Kathleen! We really enjoyed roaming the property and exploring the Willow area. If you like the idea of staying in Willow for the recreation... more

The Alaskan Host was a great location from which to visit Talkeetna for a flightseeing tour of Denali as well as for a fishing trip down one of the many rivers. Our room was comfortable with it's own bathroom. Kathy served everyone a very hearty Alaskan breakfast each morning- great moose sausage! Excellent value for the money. more

An oasis of tranquility! Kathy and Jim are the perfect hosts. Delicious food - especially Kathy's breakfast; not to be missed! Jim is so knowledgeable about the local area's flora, fauna and mining history. Facilities are fantastic - home from home. Would be a fantastic base from which to go hiking, fishing and exploring the area which is stunning. more

This is our 5th summer coming to Alaska. We stayed at the Alaskan Host B & B for the first time in June of 2004. Meeting Jim & Kathy was like coming home to family. Since then we have stayed here some each year and grown to be "real" friends with the Huston’s. Jims "Park Ranger" knowledge of the area... more

Our stay with Jim and Kathy was just an outstanding experience. All the physical aspects of the accomodations was just as expected; clean, comfortable and great food. What we didn't expect was the experience of getting to know some of Alaska's finest people. You won't find a more interesting couple to set and talk with. They have built their home... more

Jim and Kathy Huston were gracious guests when our mission team descended up on them en mass. The food was excellent. The home was beautiful, the scenery was breathtaking and the atmosphere purely Alaskan. I would not hesitate to stay here and have complete confidence in the hosts ability to make you feel comfortable. more

We stayed at the Alaskan Host B&B after a trip to Denali Nat'l Park. It's located about 66 miles north of Anchorage off the Parks Highway. The hosts (Jim and Kathy Huston) were very welcoming and greeted us with a tour of their home. The place overlooks a beautiful lake that presumedly have respectable size trout (one of which the... more

My husband, adult daughter and myself, stayed 4 nights at this wonderful B & B. We were in Willow for wedding of our grandaughter/niece. This B & B in the woods was close to family and an absolute delight to stay in. Jim and Kathy are friendly, warm hosts and make you feel like you have more family in Willow!... more
