Tok, AK is a crossroads. Few people come here for the activity (except possibly for hunting or fishing). Most people are just passing through. So, I didn't expect to find a B and B that was as warm and welcoming as this one. The cabins are clean and comfortable. Mine had a full bathroom, a nice sitting porch, a microwave... More

We enjoyed two nights at Cleft of the Rock. We found the cabins clean and comfortable, and the breakfast hearty. Since everyone staying there gathered for breakfast at once (8 am), we found ample opportunity for good conversation. If possible, arrive early evening, and allow time to enjoy the nightly local music.

It's a crossroads is TOK, (which we pronounced Took and apparently is should be pronounced Toak) and to our untrained British eyes not a overly exciting place at first sight. Even finding the Cleft of the Rock B&B log cabins was not without it problems as the owners posted their PO box as the addresses location; which confused our Sat-nav... More

Cleft of the Rock was a great place to stay. The accommodations were excellent and the breakfasts delicious and very filling. For those guests not in a hurry, there was leisurely good conversation around the table. The hosts were also very helpful in giving us travel information.

Our stay in Tok was good because of Cleft of the Rock B&B. Our hosts were so very gracious! The room was comfortable, although a limited on hot water. We coped: after all, this was "camping" for us! Breakfast was just wonderful, and our fellow guests were great fun to meet over reindeer sausage and eggs!

The cabins were very nice, roomy, all the amenaties needed. The hosts were very nice people and very helpful as needed. The breakfast was delicious and well prepared, they couldn't do enough to help. It was great all around!!

We loved our one night stay in the Miner's Cabin. We were suppose to have the Sourdough Cabin but was told after arriving that it was occupied. Our cabin was rustic, cute décor, and comfortable. The bed and linens were very comfortable. Only negative was that there were flies. We found a flyswatter and took care of the problem. The... More

Cleft of the Rock has it all - great cabins and great breakfast - what else do you need? Bob and Betty own the property and they are truly wonderful people. We stayed with them twice on our Alaskan trip. On the first stop we stayed in the big house in a condo-like room that was fully self-contained. We had... More

We stayed one night at the Cleft of the Rock on a trip between Anchorage and Haines. We are Alaskan's and have stayed in Tok many times but always with friends or at Youngs Motel. Decided to try something different this time and choice the Cleft of the Rock based on Tripadvisor reviews. The B&B is about 2 miles from... More

This place is magnificent. We stayed one night only last Friday, but wish it could have been a week. Our Sourdough cabin, one of just 5 cabins, was wonderful. Great soft furnishings, comfy bed, roomy shower room and a fridge. Sitting out on the decking with a beer in the evening calm was just so peaceful. The breakfast, taken at... More
