Stayed here for the night. It's a no-frills location sporting comfortable, super clean rooms with fluffy towels, plenty of hot water and black out curtains for those never ending summer nights. Jimmy is an excellent host with a relaxed Alaskan attitude. You won't regret your stay. Call first since they are booked fast.

My wife and I have stayed at this place each year coming and going to our work in Alaska. We have had consistently good experiences with this hotel. It is not a fancy place, but the rooms are clean, beds very comfortable and plenty of hot water. We are not TV people, but the internet is the best north of... More

Stayed here one night in April 2015 and got good value for my money. The owner is very customer-focused and is justifiably proud of the improvements he has made to the property since he became its sole owner. But, it is a no frills place except for the choice of 200+ channels on the satellite TV service. The entire property... More

Of course, the owner of the Alaska Range can't take credit for showing us the northern lights, but it was an exclamation point on our excellent night. The owner is friendly, and apologized for charging us the pet fee. We had the two rooms furthest from the road, and it was quiet and comfortable! It feels like the carpet is... More

Thank you for the review! I'm glad you got to see the Northern Lights. I'm also glad you appreciate the new carpet, all the rooms have new carpet. I do however have some rooms with two beds in them, a double and a twin, while the 2 rooms you were in had Queen size beds. The rooms with queen beds... More

Clean and quiet with good WIFI. Bed was acceptable. Shower wasn't working properly, but the tub was fine, and the price was better than the other places I contacted. It was still pretty steep for April in a small town. If I was going to spend a couple days, I'd probably try somewhere else. But for a one night stop,... More

Thank you for the review. I got your note about the shower, it was the plastic part in the middle of the nozzle had worked itself loose and needed to be turned clockwise a couple of turns. It's unfortunate, but can happen. If you call the front desk we can help. Other than that I'm glad you found the room... More

First stayed here October 2012 on my way through to Seward, AK, when it was called Mainstreet Motel. The large street-side sign still displays this (as well as the notepads in the room), so keep your eyes peeled for this. At the time, stopped in on a whim, having not read reviews, but there were no complaints (I should have... More

Thank you for your review, it means a lot. "Timber" is 98% wolf and his owner came and got him a couple of weeks later. My understanding is he is a "rescue shelter wolf". We deep clean the rooms after a pet has been in it, hence, the no pet feel to the room. I'm glad you noticed. I'm also... More

This is a nice clean place to stay in Tok. All I was after was a quiet, warm place to sleep and this motel did not disappoint. This is not the Ritz, nor are the rooms very large, but as advertised, they are clean, warm and quiet. I stopped here in February when a lot of places are shut down,... More

The Main Street Motel is exactly as advertised here. It's clean, a decent bed and shower. There's free WiFi. That's really all you need on a road trip. If you want something more, it's likely not the place for you but I'm also not sure there are better places in Tok.

I was just looking for a reasonable cost for a place to stay, because most of the hotels were closed for the winter season.. Great features to this place was that it was convenient and had almost all the TV channels on direct TV. It was close to a couple restaurants. The room was average to below average. My wife... More

After seeing the reviews, we decided to bed down here, and it was worth it. After traveling through British Columbia and the Yukon, we were pleased with the cleanliness, the speed of the wi-fi, the tv, everything was great. The only issue would be the heat in the rooms. It was great, but so very warm that it was almost... More
