I skied 200 miles to get here! John and Jill were wonderful hosts who provided everything a tired traveler (or probably even a well-rested one) could want. Delicious and plentiful meals, soft beds, cozy cabins, and a hot shower. Both John and Jill had tons of great information to share about the surrounding area and local history. All in all... More

John and Jill went above and beyond for the weary finishers of the week-long Alaska Mountain Wilderness Ski Classic race. Not only did they provide delicious and limitless food for the famished participants, but they had showers and warm cabins ready and cheerfully accommodated all of their needs. The Log Cabin Wilderness Lodge was a relaxing place to unwind after... More

My significant other and I stayed here for 3 days and two nights during early September and it was one of the best trips we've had in Alaska. Being from Fairbanks, we wanted to getaway to a remote part of the state which is removed from the glut of tourism along the highway between Fairbanks and Seward. So, we looked... More

This lodge was recommended to us by friends who stay here regularly on their way to Anchorage. We were not disappointed; our plans were to stay one night but we were so enchanted that we adjusted our schedule so that we could stay an additional night. We wish we could have stayed longer. Our hosts, John and Jill were most... More

Our relaxing stay here was the highlight of the journey from Anchorage to Haines! We spent time relaxing and enjoying the beauty of interior Alaska at this lodge outside Tok. Arrive early enough for Jill's dinner as it is wonderful and John's breakfast are a great way to start a day. The cabins are clean and comfortable. Bring your boots... More

We started our summertime driving trip through the Yukon Territory in Skagway, Alaska and ended up in Haines one week later, just in time to catch the ferry south. We have lived in Alaska for thirty years, but seldom have taken the time to wander around in the Interior. We intentionally made time to stay with John and Jill at... More

We found this place after our reservation in Paxson was flooded! Fate intervened and provided us with a totally serene stay. Jill and John were wonderful hosts, the food was great, and the wilderness was inspiring. I don,t know if we will ever make it back, but if we do we will stay here again

We had a group of 15 geologists stay at the lodge and hold a full day of meetings and discussions. The property is beautiful, the cabins are cozy, the food was excellent, and the hospitality was top notch. The main lodge is spacious and comfortable, and John took care of all our a/v needs for presentations. I will absolutely stay... More

Five fellow educators and I spent a memorable and adventuresome week at this lodge. While I know our daily rate was higher than the usual, so were our adventures. We snow machined to out of the way places, learned first hand about dog sledding, experienced a snow shoe hike to a peak overlooking a large valley near the lodge, toured... More

This place defines the phrase "Off the beaten track". 28 miles west of Tok and 2 miles off the main road, but well worth the trip. The setting is beautiful. We spent one night in June. Our little cabin was very nice, cozy and clean. Our hosts were a really fun and interesting couple who provided us with an excellent... More
