Had a meal here last month, very nicely presented and tasted delicious. Prices were a little on the high side but you do get great food. I had a lunch here with a friend and we ended up paying £25 with drinks as a guide for newcomers. Very nice surroundings and you can have a drink outside in the sun.... More

We were looking for dog friendly places in Pembrokeshire & found this super pub with excellent rooms! We are so lucky. The rooms are superb. Plenty of space in new furniture to store our "stuff", very very comfy beds, lovely subtle lighting. Ambience in rooms & corridors is lovely. Lovely big screen TV on wall. Shower is the "bestest", with... More

Stayed here whilst walking the Pembrokeshire coast path. Very modern and comfortable accommodation with great shower. Good choice of beer too but best point has to be the food, excellent choice and all our courses were of highest standard. This place is way above pub food.

A pleasant pub/hotel/restaurant in the centre of this very nice village, it consists of a long bar running along the front of the pub along with a small snug to one side and a restaurant at the rear. Staff seemed friendly enough and there was a pool table at one end. Décor wise, it’s quite traditional with black beams on... More

Just back from another great stay at this lovely pub nestled in the village of Newport just a few hundred yards from the Parrog with its beautiful views out to sea. Having been returning visitors over the past decade it is wonderful to see this little business thrive and grow as the accommodation and the restaurant have been upgraded and... More

Best breakfast we had in a seven day trip: fried egg, beans, baked tomato, sautéed mushrooms, whole wheat toast, butter, jam, tea, milk. The bed comforter was a bit hot even with the windows wide open. The room was new and beautifully furnished.

Enjoyed a great visit staying in a group of 7 of us, 2 nights with 2 excellent evening meals . Children well catered for and nothing was too much trouble. Restaurant managed by a very capable and friendly lady, Kristina, who was very attentive at all times. The bar staff were also very friendly and efficient.

Had a nice meal here with friends but watch the prices of a pint of Lime and Soda. In most public houses you would expect to pay around £1 maximum for this rather refreshing drink but here it cost a somewhat bizarre £2.4666.. - when we asked another public house in the vicinity whether they saw us coming - the... Staff attentive and surroundings are lovely, roast beef dinner was not warm enough to enjoy. Asked for it to be warmed. Everything was taken away immediately and new meal brought out, it was basically the same temperature , so no point asking again, it was warm , but not hot. Tasty meal though, dessert was lovely , strawberry cheesecake.

The "lion" went the extra mile to look after us. I phoned to see whether dogs were welcome, answer yes in the bar but not able to take bookings for the bar. When i explained we had my elderly mother in a wheelchair..they reserved us a table. On arrival we welcome...super fish pieand great burger. Would thoroughly recommend.
