Stayed in December 2015 between Christmas and New Year. Quality of accommodation exceeded expectations. Full of character, some modern luxury. Shower was so powerful, one of the best I have seen in a hotel. Lovely after being out in the elements all day ! Really friendly staff and a talented young chef. Food in the restaurant was exceptional. Book in... More

If you are in the area then a visit to this hotel is a MUST. The staff are all friendly and welcoming, the food is gorgeous and the room is to die for. All this and they welcome dogs too? Well what more could I ask for?!

Stayed one night, very comfortable room, fresh milk in fridge, always a bonus. Dinner was superb, faultless. Breakfast ditto. Good thick cut bacon, local foods where possible and their home cured smoked salmon was to die for. Good staff, nice downstairs bar. Only down sides, they could do with smartening up the entrance. A new doormat wouldn't come amiss, it... More

My sister and I spent two nights here just after Aug bank holiday this year. My sister had previously visited with her husband earlier in the year, so we both knew that we would have very comfortable accommodation along with a warm welcome from staff. We were not disappointed with the whole place, which is decorated very tastefully, but with... More

We had a meal here on bank holiday weekend and the food was ok, but i wouldn't rate it any higher. Beautiful gardens and lovely staff but average food and limited menu choice, especially for a vegetarian. Bill was about 50 for two mains, a starter and a bottle of wine.

We would frequently head to the cocktail bar in the basement for a few evening drinks. Really nice place, great drinks and friendly staff. A really good alternative to the general pub theme in the town (which is still excellent!)

Four years ago I was travelling through the UK for 3 months and luckily I've spended 2 nights in the wonderful place of Ed and Louise's. They are really nice and make sure that you truly enjoy your stay. I really enjoyed their comfortable rooms back then en indulged myself in using the bath. This year I visited them again... More

I should have been more cautious when the receptionist didn't know what the offer was through the 'Welsh Rarebits collection'that I was enquiring about. She offered us a discount of £30 on the £180 Dinner, B & B for the only ground floor room that we needed for my Mum. What she failed to tell me was that the room... More
