I have just returned rom a bank holiday weekend break at Llys Meddyg and, sat at my desk on a Tuesday morning, am still somewhat upset at having left. As a seasoned traveller and regular vistor to Pembrokeshire, I can easily say that this is one of the best hotels in the area. Our room (5 - cosy garden room)... more

We did not stay at Llys Meddyg , but had dinner there. The menu was very interesting and the food was excellent- a great chef. The waiter was newish and had to check on some of our queries but I had the impression he was learning fast - he had a very friendly manner. We would certainly eat there again... more

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful visit to Llys Meddyg. We found the hotel on the Welsh Rarebits and mr and Mrs Smith site - and as both sites suggest a wonderful place to visit. We stayed in one of their new suites and it was great. Clean, spacious and well thought out. The double ended... more

we booked a family lunch at llys meddyg and were contacted the week before to be told that our booking had been bumped as they had received an increased number for a private party booking. for a restaurant who prides itself in making it's customers feel welcome and comfortable, it didn't do very well and think that what they did... more

Spent two nights at LLYS MEDDYG at the beginning of May and eat at the restaurant on the second night. Without doubt this was one of the finest meals I have had and I will be returning with friends before the end of the year. We had the ground floor room (mews) which was very comfortable with direct access to... more

While the rooms were very nicely done out, the main reason we came to stay here was for the food. I’m not sure if our expectations were just too high to be met, but I was hoping for some real local flavour, but received what might best be described as fussy (if not pretentious). While the canapés in the downstairs... more

Having heard good things about Llys Meddyg I decided to give it a try for a walking holiday, and am very pleased I did. Though the place was undergoing a bit of a facelift when I stayed - and the things were inevitably a bit chaotic as a result - it struck me as a very friendly place. I had... more

Spent a cosy couple of days at Llys Meddyg in December. Interesting property with great rooms. Crisp cotton sheets and duvets, lovely bathrooms and funky artwork on the walls. Enjoy a drink in the cellar bar, indulge yourself with a fabulous meal with lots of local produce on the menu. This intimate restaurant with rooms is situated in the lovely... more

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Doctor's Court in Newport. We booked in for one night and were glad that we were not planning to stay any longer as it is by far the worst nights sleep we have ever had in a B&B. Although the room was clean, nicely furnished and had an impressive bathroom, it was... more

I am writing to clarify why two of these reviews have been negative about the noise at Llys Meddyg. Firstly, Room 3 (the Green Room) is above the front door and if there are restaurant guests leaving late after having a few drinks in the Cellar Bar this room can be noisy as guests say their goodbyes and the door...

Overall we had a great time in Llys Meddyg. I agree with previous review that the rooms are noisy. We had room no 2 (the other one on first floor). We got the noise from the restaurant below and from other customers in rooms upstairs. It is not that every one was incredibly loud but it's just the way it... more
