Very friendly and warm welcome. The room had everything that you could need. We just had bed no breakfast as we were off to meet friends for lunch so I cannot comment on the food. Great position in the centre of Newport and close to the water too. We had a room at the back of the building which was... More

Accessibility Step-free access from car park, might be a door ledge. No ground floor rooms available. Fairly steep stairs (this is an old building) to accommodation floor. Location In the centre of Newport (Pembrokeshire) with easy access to buses, shops, pubs and the beach. The hotel Tiny, exquisite establishment. Family-run so no formal reception. Do advise the hotel of your... More

We walked the Pembroke coastal path in July and August this year and stayed in some amazing places. However, the Cnapani topped them all, it has delightful rooms with well appointed ensuites and an exceptional restaurant. Nothing can compare to steaming hot shower followed by a good meal and decent bottle of wine when your footsore and weary, . Truly... More

To me ,arriving at Cnapan for the first time was like walking into the pages of a favourite novel. Warm, friendly, welcoming, with the smell of delicious food coming from the kitchen. Mike and Judith are the perfect hosts and we immediately feel at home. Our room is immaculate with a sparkling bathroom, soft white towels, crisp white bed linen... More

My family and I recently stayed at Cnapan one evening as we were hiking a portion of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. We had walked nearly 15 miles and it had just started raining when we arrived in late afternoon so it was especially wonderful to see such a beautiful and comfortable room. The room my husband and I were in... More

We arrived at this rather smart establishment half drowned after a wet day spent walking the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Judith couldn't have been more delightful, taking our soaking wet boots straight to the airing cupboard! Although we were only staying one night, we were given a cup of coffee on arrival, and a lovely room. We did eat in. The... More

I did not eat the evening meal here, as I only eat one course in the evening, but stayed on my second night of walking the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Offered a very welcome pot of tea on arrival and the room and breakfast were excellent. If you're going to Newport, stay here.... I could not have been made more welcome.

We stayed at Cnapan for 3 days whilst we attended our sons wedding in Newport Pembs, and found the hotel to be excellent, rooms were clean tidy and very attractive and modern, the breakfast was surprising when it arrived it looked small, by the time you ate a full Welsh breakfast, you were full.also you had a choice of different... I am slightly reluctant to write this review, as I loved Cnapan so much, I want to keep it all to myself! Having visited Newport many times over the years, my husband and I decided to spend our 30th (pearl) wedding anniversary at Cnapan. It advertises itself as a restaurant with rooms, but it is so much more than that.... More

My walking party of 8 stayed for 2 nights at Cnapan and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The rooms are tastefully decorated with great attention to detail and provision for guests. The family run atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly and they are efficient and run a good team. There is a bar and a lounge and fabulous fresh home... More
