As a group of friends we took over all the bedrooms at Cnapan to celebrate a BIG birthday. The welcome, accommodation, food and service were of the highest quality and it is somewhere we would recommend without hesitation. The family who own and run Cnapan are friendly but professiona. They have a large team of staff and it is testament... More

After 70 miles cycling, Cnapan proved an absolutely excellent choice for our stay in Newport. Friendly hosts, fantastic food and good comfortable beds meant that we had a great final stop in Pembrokeshire. Worth it for the food alone, but combined with the stay meant we were ready for the next stage of our journey. We will return soon.

I had a lovely night's stay in Cnapan. A good size double room, ensuite, light and airy with views over the garden. A great location in the centre of town. On a very wet day I was very pleased to be allowed in early to relax in the room and have a hot shower! The room had a TV and... More

I wasn't sure what to expect booking rooms at a restaurant but I needn't have worried. As soon as we arrived, Judith served us tea and cakes in her beautiful back garden -- a lovely way to begin our two night stay. Our rooms were very nice, clean and extremely comfortable; the food was delicious. Newport is an interesting little... More

We stayed in the self catering Ty Dafydd Cottage connected to the Cnapan. It is a delightful cottage, with plenty of space (deceiving from the outside) and is very tastefully decorated. We were surprised at all the little touches, with everything included from balsamic vinegar in the kitchen to alarm clocks to games in the living room, maps, bedding towels... More

We were down in Fishguard for the Young Farmers Eisteddfod 2012. We stayed the night at the Cnapan. As our schedule was tight we did not have time to enjoy the location. We love pembrokeshire and was sorry that we were unable to stay longer. This is a lovely place to stay - very clean, good breakfast and near to... More

Run by a friendly and very accommodating couple, Cnapan is a beautiful Georgian retreat in a beautiful corner of Wales. We stayed for three nights in the very spacious room 4, which was elegantly furnished and had a large and comfortable bed. Breakfast was tasty and filling, but dinner was spectacular - some of the best food we'd tasted anywhere... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at Cnapan. The room (no 5) was spotless if a little cramped and we received a warm welcome and list of possible walks from the owners. The breakfast and evening meal were of a very high standard. Minor complaint there was insufficient room in the lounge after our meal which was full of regular... More

Cnapan is a great place to stay providing comfort in homely relaxed surroundings. Dinner is always of an excellent standard-tasty imaginative cooking using fresh local produce. Service could not be friendlier or more professional.

We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff to do for us. Everyone was very friendly and the evening meals were the highlight of the day. Will certainly visit again. Diolch yn fawr.
