The location of this place was ideal as the pub that the reunion was taking place was literally 2 minutes walk up the road. I have to say that the room was absolutely spotless, the en suite bathroom was exceptionally clean. Room was a good... More

Good hotel , stayed for one night . Thought it was a bit strange at first having to check in at one hotel go 4 doors down to the hotel we were sleeping in then back up 4 doors for breakfast , but don't let this put you off. The hotel was exceptionally clean with sparkling white towels and sheets... More

Stayed here to attend speedway good location for train station for easy access to cardiff. Rooms clean and obviously recently refurbished, room only small but fitted out nice. Very warm could have benefited from fan. Work was being carried so scaffold around building and curtain rail to short so curtains didn't shut properly, so little privacy. Breakfast very basic, table... More

We stayed last night to watch the rugby in Cardiff. Because of the traffic we were running late and on check in asked for a taxi to take us to the train station. The taxi company was busy but the owner offered to take us the 5 minute drive to get to the station on time. She would not take... More

Me and my girlfriend had a 3 hour drive to newport to watch the snooker, really looking forward to having 2 days together. After easily finding the hotel we were unsure as to where to go but did find the entrance which happened to be the gateway hotel. The lady on reception didn't say a word so we both felt... More

We stayed here 15/12/2012. We pulled up and parked the car in the back which didnt look very appealing. The reception for this hotel is situated in the Gateway Hotel about three buildings down the road. We had a lovely welcome from the receptionist and were offered a choice of rooms. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw the room.... More

The hotel seems to be an extension of the gateway hotel and doesn't really have its own reception. The room was nice but v cold and with one small electric heater it took all night to warm up! There were fag buts in the toilet and no hot water that night or the next morning. The breakfast was nice though... More
