After our bad experience at Tikehau Pearl Beach Resort (see our comment on tripadvisor), we were surprised how different two resorts fo the same resort chain can be. At Manihi we were kindly welcome by the Director (Henry) himself. One can feel, that he is the "soul" of this hotel and cares for every little detail. He gave us a... more

I cannot write fast enough to keep up with the excitement that we have for this wonderful, magical island and its true Polynesian people. We just read a few of the reviews on the Manihi Pearl, thought we'd add our opinions. This was our third visit to this resort. Keep in mind we have been all over - Bora Bora,... more

This was another place we chose based on hearing great things about their snorkeling. Unfortunately it was very windy our entire stay and we were only able to snorkel one day. The other days the water was just too rough. The water was definitely clearer than in Tikehau but much rougher. There were lots of rocks, coral and fish near... more

We were in Manihi for six nights after a stay at Tikehau. We traveled as a family of four with two children, 8 and 9 years old. Room: We had an over water bungalow which suited us fine but many might find it small. It was cozy but we spent so much time out on the deck that it never... more

We stayed in Manihi for 5 nights and it was the first leg of our trip in Polynesia. We were located in a Premium Overwater Bungalow, number 33 (as apparently there are only 5). The main difference between the Premium and the standard overwater bungalows were not the size, since they were all identical, but the fact that you got... more

On our third trip to FP, we were seeking something more "off the beaten path" than Moorea or Bora Bora. We wanted quiet, isolation, and tranquility. This trip was also a 10th Anniversary celebration, so we wanted it to be special. The Manihi Pearl Beach resort surpassed our expectations. It was an absolutely heavenly week. It's a totally different kind... more

Fantabulous! We splurged for an over-water bungalow, and were not disappointed. The room was spotlessly clean and quite luxurious, with TV, a spacious bathroom and an outdoor patio overlooking the lagoon, complete with lounge chairs. There was even a glass window in the floor through which you could see the reef (you can also open it and feed the fish--the... more

Our family returned to Denver last night after a fabulous spring break trip. What a contrast! We woke up this morning to an inch of snow on the ground! My wife and I along with our college age son and our high school senior spent 4 nights at the Sofitel Bora Bora Beach Resort and 3 nights at the Manihi... more

We stayed at the Manihi Pearl after having our wedding and first part of our Vacation at the Moorea Pearl. Moorea needs to take a lesson in service from this small staff of the Manihi pearl. Upon arrival at the airport we were greeted by this wonderful super friendly young man. He gave us our lays and took our bags.... more

We stayed at the Manihi Pearl for 5 nights of our honeymoon and loved it! The staff was friendly & helpful. We stayed in overwater Bungalow #31 which was at the end & gave us tons of privacy. We didn't need the A/C but the bungalows on this side were out of sight from the swimming pool so more private.... more
