As soon as we got off the plane and jumped into the back of the truck, I instantly knew this was the holiday my husband and I were wanting. We decided on a destination wedding in Tahiti, spending 4 nights at Moorea, Sofitel (where the ceremony was held) and 6 nights at Ninamu. We spent every day in the water,... More

In researching French Polynesia to find a new, smaller island to explore for this trip, I came across Ninamu. My husband and I were looking for a Gilligan's Island type feel and wanted to be able to enjoy the water and sun. The idea was to relax our first 5 nights in Bora Bora and then be ready for activity... More

I came across Ninamu by accident when googling the Tuamoto Archipelago as a possible destination for a proposed holiday in Tahiti. My husband & I were the only privileged guests to be attending my son & his wife to be's weddings on the island of Moorea, and I felt that with their love of water, fishing & snorkelling that this... My family and I have traveled the entire globe this past year, and Ninamu has been our favorite stay of the trip. I read all the reviews here and there is so much good information, but the best advice that has been provided is to know what you are getting into. It is a small motu, you can walk the... More

Tripadvisor basically convinced us to go here on our honeymoon, and we weren't led astray! This place is absolute paradise. As others have pointed out, the rooms are a bit open and most of the activities are centered around water, so you have to love those things. If you do, you really can't go wrong with this place. The rooms... More

This place is awesome! We spent five nights here during a two week vacation to French Polynesia and it was our favorite place that we stayed at during our trip. Our room was gorgeous and incredibly comfortable (built by the owner!); they are open air, so you get the sea breeze and sound of the waves lulling you to sleep.... More

Ninamu is a magical place -- so much so, I'm reluctant to write about it -- I want it to stay a secret. The island is intimately sized, beautifully designed and maintained, and a haven for athletes and water lovers. Depending on the season, there's great surf, wind for kiting, amazing spear fishing, sailing, diving… Chris and Greta and Christiane... More

Chris and Greta have created a piece of paradise you can share with them. Stay in a beautiful bungalow (built by Chris and staff) and fall alseep to the sound of the waves and breeze in the palm trees. Wonderfully prepared FRESH seafood in a relaxed atmosphere. For us a stay at Ninamu was about experiencing Tikehua. Chris made this... More
