I enjoyed very much Relais Royal Tikehau. It is a true family pension. Good value for money. I enjoy it for the beauty of the site, and the whole little motu island. For the friendliness of the staff and owners. For the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. For the good swimming. For the simple yet efficient concept of a family pension... More

First things first, no criticism here only notes so things can be improved, hopefully. Generalities : Tikehau, clearer water than Mataiva for divers, snorkeling or just swimming, Lots of sandy beaches which Rangiroa cruelly lacks. The hotel/pension : Comparing what you get for the same price else where, 2 or 3 things should and could be improved and it would... More

The location can't be beat, and the overall price in comparison to the other options makes this a very viable option. I can't give 5 stars because there are some things that just really should be taken care of and would be inexpensive to do. We like to sit on the terrace, or on the beach, during the day and... This was our first time to Tikehau. We stayed 3 nights in January, 2014,and were the only guests. My wife and I are very happy we chose the Relais Royal Tikehau. From the time we were picked up at the airport until the time we returned to the airport, the staff, Camillia, Tilda, Estelle, Victoria and David, were wonderful. Jean-Claude... More

IThe dining space is facing the small sea canal and there were always a lot of fishes including noir sharks. The room has a hot shower and well located and designed to keep its own privacy. Foods are also very delicious! The lobster I took there is really the best one I ever have had in my life. The dance... More

We stayed for 7 nights in August/September 2013. Our beachfront bungalow was perfect for us. Swimming from the beach was fantastic. The owners and staff were very welcoming and friendly, taking care of everything we needed. The food was amazing every day. The restaurant decks have great views of the fish in the channel, as well as the fabulous sunsets.... More

We stayed here in July for five days. This was such a unique experience, and well worth the travel off the typical tourist path in French Polynesia. It is not a huge swanky hotel, but an intimate small and lovely place where you can appreciate the beauty of your surroundings and the culture with very few other people around. As... More

Stayed July, 2011 but just getting to our review. Can't imagine much has changed there. Absolutely amazing! The Relais is on a motu separate from the main town but still easy to get to. We were picked up at the small airport and transported by boat to our pension where we were greeted by the owners and staff dockside. We... More
