from the moment we arrived, Alan, the receptionist, greeted us with his calm and cheerful persona. during our 5 night stay, he did everything in his power to make sure we were comfortable and well informed as to the activities, rates and options of things to do on the atoll. he himself is worth another star to the rating of... Went to 3 islands on the honeymoon and all were excellent but my heart is with Rangiroa. We stayed beachside and the accommodations were beautiful and perfect. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We only ate dinner once at the hotel and it was good. I am a picky eater and did go to the small store and restaurant... More

This hotel is beautiful. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The staff is attentive. We had a plan that included breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was great and there were many choices including hot and cold items. You have to ask for hot dishes. Dinner was sometimes hit and miss. Try to remember to stick to menu items that might have... More

We booked a premium garden bungalow with breakfast and we also booked the pick-up service from the airport in advance. Bed and breakfast, halfboard and fullboard options are also possible. Surroundings: turn right at the hotel gate and in 1 minute there is a small supermarket (dairy products, food and beverages, fruits, bakery products, sweets, cosmetics, ice cream,...), 2-3 walking... The Maitai Rangiroa doesn't get enough love here on TA, and I really don't know why. My wife and I were there just a week ago, and we really enjoyed our stay at the Maitai. We were there for about a week, so we had ample time to experience the property. For the record, we booked through Candice at tahiti.com,... More

First off, Rangiroa is a very remote island, (actually a chain of motu’s that make up a coral reef), with not too many people. Conditions are quite primitive if you are going to compare it to Tahiti. That being said, it is a remarkable place that is still quite pristine! The beach bungalows were quite comfortable, but the A/C could... More

A small, exquisite gem of a hotel. The design, lay out and location was very relaxing. Views of the lagoon from the restaurant/bar and our beach bungalow were quietly breathtaking. A warm, hospitable staff, excellent food and very comfortable room completed an extremely satisfying vacation experience. I loved this place and already want to go back. The two tours not... More

We just stayed at this charming hotel for three relaxing nights. What a nice hotel. It has a brand new pool and dining area, under a large beautiful palapa. The bungalows are roomy (new looking) and very beautifully decorated. I slept like a rock - it was so quiet and tranquil. You can watch the sunset from the pool or... More

Place worth crashing indeed if you are interested in more comfort (including hygiene) than pension could offer. Small resort with new swimming pool. Bungalows being renovated with extented terrasas and updated furniture surrounded by garden which someone takes care about. Rooms are not big, but cosy with main amenities included. Some bungalows are fronting the sea, others in the garden.... More

We stayed at the Maitai in Bora bora and also Huahine, so we were surprised at the difference. While we expected smaller and a little more rugged, we were disappointed by the cramped space; the bungalows are packed in quitr tightly and privacy was an issue. We started in one room but while unpacking my husband literally went through the... More
