We had just left Bora Bora and its beauty before arriving on Rangiroa and the Kia Ora Resort. We were heartbroken to leave Bora Bora as it is incredibly beautiful. That heart break faded away immediately upon arriving at the Kia Ora resort. To our surprise, it was even MORE beautiful than Bora Bora (we stayed at the Le Meridien... More

We had stayed in good hotels elsewhere in French Polynesia, and did not quite know what to expect in this remote atoll. We were pleasantly surprised with the Kia Ora hotel and its quality. All the way from the Rangiroa airport to the hotel and back we were so nicely and professionally taken care of. The atoll was a special... More

This was our third time here....and I'm an old lady now. Our first two times were very nice, but I had expected that my memory of the place was better than the actuality. How foolish of me.....we were absolutely blown away by the experience. Kia Ora is better than ever. [small note: The resort is privately owned by a Japanese... More

I have been blessed to be able to travel to many remote locations for my scuba diving passion. Rangiroa is the 2nd largest atoll in the world and the visit is like falling off the face of the planet. Absolutely a must for anyone who loves the ocean and wants to escape humanity. For such a remote location, the hotel... More

After reading some of the mediocre reviews of this resort, we were somewhat worried (i.e., bad food, staff had trouble communicating with guests). But, we decided to give the resort a chance, and it turned out to be great! Here's the skinny: - The grounds were gorgeous. The decor was modern and cool. We had the suite with private plunge... My husband and I spent 5 weeks traveling around Japan and the South Pacific for our 32nd wedding anniversary. Our 3 nights at Kia Ora was at the end of our trip and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Pros: It is in a beautiful coconut groove, in a quiet secluded area, very romantic..... The staff is all very helpful,... More

This was our second trip to FP and rather than go to Bora we went to Rangi. Having stayed at the Moorea Pearl, which we thought was pretty good, the Kia Ora was so much better in many ways. We had a beach bungalow with a jaccuzi on the deck, easy snorkeling in front of it. The number, variety and... More

My husband and I stayed at the Kia Ora in the Deluxe Beach suite with the private pool for four nights. This was the second stop after Bora Bora Hilton (another review), and by far the best of the two locations and hotels. The room: Is large, clean, the bed was very comfortable (I didn't get the lumpy bed that... More

This is the most fabulous place that we have stayed on in French Polynesia. Almost with a feel of the Maldives. We were the whole family, so we had three private villas - really awesome with private pools, a private garden with sitting areas in the sun and in the shade, spacious excellent rooms. The resort is located on the... More

This was our second vacation to French Polynesia where we visited three different islands (Le Taha'a, Rangiroa and Tetiaroa) for 5 nights in each place. Both of our trips we booked through Claudia and Jennifer at Pacific For Less - they are truly experts in finding out exactly what kind of vacation experience and activities you are seeking and crafting...
